Creating "next-gen" quarterback play in Madden NFL

Posted On: Mar. 31, 2009 7:41 PM EST By: EA_IanCummings 91 Comments

**** EDIT: THIS IS NOT REAL. THIS WAS AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE ****

Two days ago we added a new blog detailing the addition of a lot of new sliders and options to Madden NFL 10. This was met with a seemingly luke-warm reaction by some, as most were expecting a much more juicy feature or more in-depth gameplay information. So after talking with our marketing partners, we were able to all agree that we could release one feature that we are really excited about to try and appease those that may have been upset with the customization blog post.

What is the new feature?
Madden NFL 06 debuted one of the most controversial features in the history of the Franchise – QB Vision (aka the Vision Cone). The concept of this feature was simple: in video-game terms, replicate the vision of a real life QB and force/encourage the gamer to go through real-life progressions that a QB would do. You could use the cone to “look off” safeties, or follow different receivers as they ran their routes and made cut moves. If you threw to a receiver that wasn’t in your field of vision, you would expect a much more inaccurate pass. Better QB’s had much wider vision cones, emulating the concept that they have a better inherent knowledge of where all their WR’s are at all times.

The vision cone in action

As Madden moved onto PS3 and Xbox360, this feature was slowly phased out. Many fans have asked over and over for the QB vision to return, but there were always mechanic conflicts and other reasons to bring it back to the forefront. Well we are happy to report that QB Vision is not only back, but it’s bigger and better than ever. It really is my pleasure to present QB Vision 3.0.

(Very early) concept mock of QB Vision 3.0

As you may have seen in one of our previous blogs [link], we added 3 new accuracy ratings for the QB. We knew that QB Vision 3.0 was our vehicle to convey these new accuracy ranges to the gamer, in a simple and intuitive fashion. In the concept mock above, you can see that the varying gradients of color equate to Warner’s accuracy rating. These colors are the most key aspects to making the feature truly feel “next-gen”.

Bright yellow is the most accurate range, while green is the second most accurate range. There has been a lot of debate on whether this should be switched, but being that the previous cone was yellow we all figured that it was more intuitive to keep that the same color as what people know.

The red and orange gradients show a less accurate range than green or yellow, and you will also notice some darker shades of those colors as well. These convey that a lob will be more accurate than a bullet in that situation.

The jagged edges represent the ‘danger areas’ since the lob pass has a higher risk of being picked off or swatted. This is a very key detail that the gamer can pick up on to help them make that split-second decision that can mean the difference between touchdown or interception.

The other major problem we had to overcome was with the control. Playmaker control (originally implemented in Madden NFL 2004) is currently the default R-Stick functionality while back in the pocket, and through gathering a lot of feedback from the team we knew we didn’t want to change this as it is a fan favorite. Also, when you are behind the line of scrimmage, we wanted to discourage the "sprinting out of the pocket" mindset (by holding RT/R2 to sprint), so we thought that the sprint button could possibly be utilized. L2 / L-Trigger are totally free, but those can be very hard to use. So we settled on RT + R-Stick to activate QB Vision 3.0. This may seem complicated on paper but it is extremely easy after you practice it a few times.

One other thing, we also realized that you may NOT want to use this all the time to give away where you are throwing to, so at any time you can hold RT (for QB Vision Control), and just CLICK IN on the R-Stick to make it disappear or re-appear.

Well folks, that is it for this week’s blog, and our first official new gameplay feature. We hope you are as excited for this addition as we are. Please post any feedback you may have in the comments.

i have to say i was a huge fan of the QB vision and when i initially read that it was back i was very pleased, but after seeing that early concept i think i can safely say that il be turning that feature off. the best part about the cone was its simplicity, that just like looking it required no effort but now with all the different colours and jagged edges i feel thats its just all to busy.i appreciate all the blog updates your doing and game looks great so far but this just dosnt look promising.

  • littleman_2001_dbz@yahoo.com said April 01, 2009

these colors will block all the WRs on the field, it will be a huge distraction to the offense and defense

  • NPYYZ said April 01, 2009

I hope this is an April fools joke. Way to much going on on the field. It takes all the realism out of the game. It covers the players so they can't be seen as well. If this is for real I hope we do not have to use it in online ranked games , if we do I'll be canceling my pre order.

  • Disease26 said April 01, 2009

i never liked qb vision either and as said above, it looks confusing and distracting.

that said, i can just turn it off. no harm, no foul.

thanks ea tiburon for trying to please us this year with everything else so far.

  • DarkHado said April 01, 2009

I for one am excited about the vision cone. It will seperate the true sim players who actually want to go through reads from the cheesers who want to pick strong arm QB's an just throw deep bombs off their back foot. I for one am a true sim style player (which is the theme for madden 10) will be willing to learn an master this new 3.0 cone whether it be with Tom Brady (my fav QB) or with Trent Edwards. I don't care what anyone says, I love that the cone is back.

  • Lost_Mentality,Lost_Mentality said April 01, 2009

You guys have to remember this is an early concept shot. You can clearly see it was just photoshopped onto the screenshot. I doubt the real cone will be this bright, or blind the field with it's reach.

I was never a fan of the cone because with all the other things you have to worry about like pass protection, jams off the line, coverage, etc etc, trying to find a player using the cone was just an added extra hassle. But, as always, it's there for the people who want them, so I am appreciative of the consideration of EA to bring it back for those fans.

  • emaay said April 01, 2009

Instead of doing that you could drop the camera to a 3 person over the shoulder angle, so the player couldn't see the entire field forcing them to scan the field. It also enable for better sack avoidance and blind side tackles (you can see the line man but the QB cant increasing the ability to fumble the QB realistically). QB with better vision can see more of the field; he can find more receivers and has better sack avoidance and fumbles less from blind side.

If you keep the current version id rather you put the QB vision on R2(scrolls right) and L2(scrolls left) and let the R2 and R-stick be scramble.

  • sotrill said April 01, 2009

I was never to big on vision but i would play with it but after seeing " QB vision 3.0" i know for a fact i will turn it off. If u made it a 3 color system(yellow orange and red) and removed the jagged edges for a color fade style it would look more simplistic and not such a big distraction form the game. Also it would give one more of the madden 06 feeling.

  • KILLA KAVOR said April 01, 2009

I THINK ITS A REAL FEATURE IN THE GAME FOR NOW, BUT IF ENOUGH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK IS RETURNED, IAN WILL SAY APRIL FOOLS!! AND THE FEATURE WILL BE CANNED.

  • micdevious said April 01, 2009

Sorry, I hate QB vision. Too much button pushing and the casual player can't just injoy the game. If a player isn't that good and he picks Tom Brady or Peyton Manning he could throw a perfect pass without trying. You get a QB with a low vision rate and you try to check down our wide receivers, Linemen and Linebackers will sack you before you get to him eventhough you saw him open way before time. I think the only ones who like QB vision is the ones who uses Tom or Brady. Otherwise, I do like QB vision only if you force the computer to use it. They'll throw "crazy" perfect passes before you sack them on their blind side. They'll just throw to get rid of it and make a perfect pass. Why doesn't the computer throw the ball away? It never throws the ball away. It will keep the computer from cheating.

  • Deltroy said April 01, 2009

Like Ian said its not really meant to be used all game just once in awhile for a big play if you wanna drop in a perfect pass, I wouldnt go by one screenshot and chalk it up as a fail, its a great concept and I will def check it out.

  • Leyland said April 01, 2009

I cant wait to see the game play.

  • da_ThRONe said April 01, 2009

I think the concept of QB's having to look at the WR's to make the throw is a must in a "sim" game but I dont think the vision cone is "sim" either. Keep the concept but lose the cone. Why cant we just look at 1 WR's at a time? And change from WR to WR that sounds like a better way to use QB progression's then the vision cone! Most people I know hate it me included. The elite QB's dont have better vision then an average QB's they process info faster. Make Peyton Manning read coverages better not make him have a bigger passing cone!

  • Valdarez said April 01, 2009

How does this fit the mantra of 'if you see it on Sunday'?  I still don't see how this improves the gameplay one iota.  How does this improve the passing game?  Are passes more realistic?  Are the WR's running routes more realistically?  Is separation occurring more realistically?  Is the catch AI / Interaction better?  Is the defense fixed (no more warp zone, inhuman jumps / floats, instant directional changes)?

If Madden is going to be the only NFL football game in town, then get the gameplay right first.  Gameplay should be top priority, over everything else.

    Gameplay

    Gameplay

    Gameplay

I want a game that plays great.  Everything else is secondary.  Everything.  This looks like more feature bloat, yet again.  :(

Don't get me wrong, this is a novel concept, but frustrating to see more cycles wasted on something that does not improve the gameplay.  On a side note, green is always used as a primary positive identifier, not yellow.  Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.  Even the government got that right.  ;)

  • emaay said April 01, 2009

Well if the open man is highlighted green than won't it be easier to find the open man instead of actually finding him on your own. Seems like this only hurts the defense. Not impressed with this at least take the color coding out so  a guy won't just throw to the green area.

  • slydelvecio said April 01, 2009

so your taking away the sprint option for the qb? why? A lot of qb's games involve rolling out of the pocket and gamers definately do that as well. It's hard enough to outrun a good DE while sprinting, so are you trying to eliminate qb rollouts as more and more qb's are doing it in the NFL. I didn't watch much football last year because I am u at school, but for people arguing that it's only fast qb's like garrard, cambell, and jackson that do it your wrong. Peyton (even though i hate him) has been known to make plays on the run and they demonstrate the worst slide ever. Look how castle changed the Patriots from Brady never leaving the pocket to castle taking of and running pretty consistantly from what I saw. Also the new qb vision could work, I have always been a fan (seperates the bums from the players online), but it looks very distracting because it is so dark. I know your probably planning on making it more translucent, but if there is a dark spot covering a db and someone throws the ball there, they are gonna be mad. Just make it clicking the right stick to bring up vision, and keep the sprint. Personally I like the old gen contols better, and its not hard to use the L2/LT, people just don't because laterals are useless. You should changed them to make them look like real laterals (i.e. rugby passes). Thanks for listening. I'm really excited this year an love to hear the updates because I'm a game design major and like the only one interested in sports games in the program.

  • NPYYZ said April 01, 2009

The more I think about it this can't be for real. Why would Ian take the most realistic Madden yet and then add this?  April Fools!!!!!  Nice one Ian.

    Pre Order still in tact.

  • Polish Hill said April 01, 2009

Wow, I was reading through this and the whole post is done so well its hard to tell its an April Fools Joke.  Perfect execution, I was almost thinking of whether or not to try to learn the new feature.  The whole debate about yellow versus green was also another beautiful touch.  Happy April Fools Day

  • da84tona@hotmail.com said April 01, 2009

April Fools for sure. If its not, how awkward...

If you bring back the vision cone, leave it the way it was, it was simple and pretty easy to learn.

  • MAXIMUS205 said April 01, 2009

I've never been a fan of the cone. I just feel it adds more seconds to a split second decision passing process.Maybe the speed of this years game changes this process.

  • DiodeX said April 01, 2009

I heard that they going to implement the xbox live cam into vision cone, you would have to strap it to your hand and look for your receivers that way!

Well, no less silly than it ever was, you needed a degree in controllers to use it well. My old fingers can't compute all that button pressing!

  • kckrobinson@comcast.net said April 01, 2009

    Interceptions:

For Madden 2010 you’ll need to change the reaction time after Interceptions.

If a DB intercepts the ball on a WR one on one, 9 times out of 10 the DB gets

tackled immediately after the pick. DB usually do not get tackled right away

    after an interception.

    Blocking Assignments:

Better FB and OL blocking assignments. Some times when you run the ball your

FB or OL will lead block, but from some reason they will turn around and block

someone who is not a factor in making the tackle. specially running the to the

    outside.

    Offense User Catch:

Better User Catch for WRs should be more responsive like it is on NCAA Football.

Sometimes playing Madden and you try to user catch the ball the WR just throws

    his hands into the air.

I noticed on previous Maddens that a WR coming across the middle usually

slants up off his route when the ball is thrown. Why is that? Even when the

ball is thrown perfectly and no one is around the WR, he slants up about 2-3 yds

to make the catch usually on drag routes.

    QB Pump Fake:

When doing a QB Pump Fake in Madden the QB stops moving this can result in a sack,

but in some occasions QB; while dropping back pump fake still move there feet.

One cool feature would be if you'll bring back the ambulance that use to be

on the earlier John Madden's. If someone gets hurt the ambulance comes out

and runs everybody over on the field. That’s a classic. You can make it a

    on/off feature. LOL

  • kodison said April 01, 2009

Wow.  This is gonna be really clunky, ugly and confusing.  I was never a fan of the vision cone (it's a great idea in principle but in practice it was a real mess), but this is ridiculous.  At least the old vision cone was distracting.  I understand that you're trying to incorporate the QB's attributes into it, but seriously, I think you're missing the forest from the trees on this one.  If you're gonna put in the vision cone, add it in the way it was before and then leave it.  If you keep adding all these colors and shapes and crap, pretty soon it's gonna look more like Dance Dance Revolution than Madden.  My word.

  • bonee-de said April 01, 2009

Will the game also include Create-A-Fan 3.0? ;)

  • ChrisJNelson said April 01, 2009

Hahaha this has to be an April Fools joke.

  • livinadream said April 01, 2009

I always liked the vision cone because it made the game more difficult and realistic.  I think it would be a very useful tool in practice mode.  To guage your qb's accurace range ratings.  It looks a little much and distracting for actual games.  Cool idea though and with the ability to switch it on and off, sounds awesome!!  I'd like to try it.  Keep up the hard work and innovative ideas!!

Pep and the qb drops the ball but its called an incomplete pass. THE QBs THROWING ARM WASNT EVEN RAISED, MUCH LESS GOING FORWARD!!! PLEASE fix this, its frustrating when it could be 2nd and 20, but its 2nd and 10!

im sorry guys but this is not an april fools joke but what is a joke is ea i mean wow this is unreal.i have no problem with the vison cone it self but to add these silly colors it takes away from you guys making a serious football title.ea you guys always take things to a whole new unecessary level, just like last year with the virtual trainer.i appreciate you guys trying to put what we want into the game but you guys took the vison cone way to far.and i was reading a previous write up where it said everything you see on sunday minus the grass stains.please tell me their will be grass stains on players during rainy games and so on cause if not then once again you guys have took yet another step back.

  • Not a Quita said April 01, 2009

You guys I see are pouring in a lot of effort into this next Madden which makes me really happy. As for the QB Vision, I am glad you guys are trying to take it to the next level. I don't like all the colors so much though when trying to see what WR I will hit. There needs to be some sort of study or statistic pulled up for QB's and DB's on how often a QB when looking down the field follows through with his head and body movement to throw a pass to a WR. Perfect this in the  game. I know a number of QB's like Manning, Brady, and a few others who purposely look at WR's to confuse DB's and then switch off to someone completely different. Are the passes when they look off to that other WR accurate or not? I don't know, maybe they are or aren't. What are those numbers? There needs to be a element with the QB and head-body movement so that DB's can see this ingame and go after it and vice versa for QBs. Not all QB's have bad passes when looking off.

  • jumpoff47 said April 01, 2009

    April fools???? I hope ..

  • youngmeech said April 01, 2009

I never was really a big fan of qb vision and it doesn't have to do anything with cheesing or anything like that, i would select one receiver to look off the safety with and then once i found the wr to throw it to the cone would move to slow and throw a horrible pass, many times my wr would be wide open and i would miss him because of that, in real life if a qb looked off the safety and then went to his read theirs no delay to wait for that cone, because its all about his eye movement, so to me qb vision doesn't truly simulate real life, i feel the concept in a way does but execution not so much

  • KILLA KAVOR said April 01, 2009

its a joke guys...its not even a cone shape. its all edgy. the player models look like madden 99. This is not a next gen shot. arizona didn't even play pittsburgh at home...it was miami. Nice one Ian. Now release the real update.

  • DB_Coach said April 01, 2009

concept is great, application not good. If you must have, instead of the cone and confusing colors, how about the players in pass routes not showing on screen until you look that direction. It removes all the confusion, but retains the concept. Rookie QB's struggle because they have not learned to process Def coverages in a timely manner while Manning can't see better, but can break down the defense faster.

How about removing modes/aspects that people don't play or use and incorporate a patch download through the online feature.  That way your able to use the memory space for gameplay and better animations while not excluding any of those that use/play those modes, etc....

Gameplay is what hurting this series.

    Side Note:

Not every QB has the same throwing mechanics and timing, yet in EA football games  we only see overhead or sidearm with the same timing and throwing motion for all. Every other sport game out today, has players with different mechanics, except Football. Not all players run the same; not all Def players tackle the same; not all players catch the ball with their hands. Without variation, there is not realism.

  • KILLA KAVOR said April 01, 2009

This has to be a joke, but as a fan of the qb cone/vision if and when its brought back keep it the way it was but relate it to the old-gen RT w/passing icon combo. Just a little suggestion, maybe you guys should incorporate some more extensive gameplay when you import a draft class from ncaa football. For example transfer of stats, awards, and maybe a higlight or two. This would also create some incentive to get both games.

  • CAMREN630 said April 01, 2009

primal see if its a joke when you buy this game and this is on their.

  • JB1406 said April 01, 2009

I think the cone is a great idea but I am not a fan of the colors, it's to distracting. With that said, since you are putting Procedural Awareness in the game the QBs eyes follow the WR so if we are looking at the "B" WR then why not make the "X" WRs icon disapear. Then make the icons fade to a lighter shade in weak areas and disappear when we can't see them; like in NCAA where the WRs get to far away from the QB. Decision making is a big advantage for some people so leave the bullet and lob passes up to the user without help by color schemes.

  • Bubstarr said April 01, 2009

Ian, I seriously appreciate what your team is doing but this is not a good week for you.  The customize bars is fine but it's not A NEW FEATURE and believe it or not we didn't need one this early in the game. ALL WE WANTED was insurance that you heard our voices about PRESENTATION and cool GAMEPLAY ideas.

This cone deal is just milking a feature you guys had over 3 years ago.  We're smarter than that.  What's disappointing is that you manage to mess up the color scheme.  Green always mean "GO" and "RIGHT".  That color shouldn't be associated with the second most accurate area, it should be the first.

Where are the pile on fumbles? Great presentation at pre-game and halftime? An overhaul in the audio department?  Enhanced online leagues? Better linemen interactions? We're not asking for much but fix the old bugs and add stuff we would like.  Not everybody will be happy but if the majority consensus calls for something please pay attention to it.

Thank you for the posts.  I hope they're more inspiring in the future.

  • Legend179 said April 01, 2009

If the red jagged edges represent the so called "danger area", according to the pic a WR screen would be totally inaccurate then, right? It seems odd to me, because that type of pass should be a simple completion.

  • kencnj said April 01, 2009

Ian, as a longtime veteran sportsgamer, I would have to say that this is the most interesting preview to any Madden season ever.I have bought it every year since the beginning. At 46 years old, I can appreciate all that you do.Believe it or not, there are a lot more Madden players at my age than most people would ever imagine.I think most of your changes are great, especially since they can be toggled on and off. I am looking forward to the rest of your updates. I am really hoping for a mid-game save feature, as it is hard for me to find the time to complete a game without using super-sim. Also, I am hoping for some improved franchise features, as it has really been lacking on the next gen systems.

  • NoSubs said April 01, 2009

hahaha, you had me for a minute.

-Yellow instead of green for the most accurate area, lol. Hey, let's go against an international standard because the old cone was yellow (?).

-Let's make the edges jagged because people don't know that throwing downfield can be risky.

-Let's make it coloured so that when it is over the players you cannot use jersey colour to tell wide receivers from cornerbacks.

You had me going at first though, that would have been horrible.

I like my eyes to be my vision cone, thanks but no thanks!

  • AuburnTiger_Fan said April 01, 2009

Sorry EA but its confusing to me to have Green the second best accuracy and Yellow for the best accuracy...and I don't think I'm Alone.

The Cone "FEATURE" is why I stopped buying/playing madden until 09.  Cone vision must stay dead, it is an unnecessary "FEATURE"!  EA, look at your sales for 09, I am willing to bet that it was prob the highest selling version of Madden in a long time and it's prob because a lot of people out there felt the same way I felt when you introduced the Cone "FEATURE".  If you want to make the game more realistic, how about stopping all these UNREALISTIC User C's, ie a 60 yard pass to a receiver being double covered somehow miraclously pulls it down everytime?!?!?  I understand a player like Fitz or Moss having this ability in real life situations to pull this off every once in a while but a good User C'er in Madden can somehow pull this off everytime with someone like Matt Jones??!?!!  Seriously?

Man some of you guys are dumb.

First, it ain't a joke. QB Vision 3.0 is real.

Second, the multi-colored cone is a CONCEPT. It's used to illustrate how the cone will work, not how it'll look.

Third, QB Vision 3.0 is another gimmicky feature EA is recycling to sell games. The developers should be refining gameplay, not adding more fluff.

Hopefully this is just an April Fool's joke.

  • warrior310 said April 01, 2009

ok,guys you wanna make this game real right?

    THIS IS THE WRONG DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!

  • prettyrik said April 01, 2009

THANK YOU EA!!!!! Like others said this will definitely seperate the sim ballers from cheese players not that sprinting behind the line of scrimmage doesn't happen during a real nfl gm, but alot of players abuse it and get away with using it in an unrealistic fashion cause CPU AI just isn't that smart. Since Sim play is what you guys are going for this year you guys are in the right direction with this advance version of previous feature. I know this is a first rough screen shot, but the colors are a bit bright so I figured that you guys would tone them down so they don't take away from the visuals of the gm and be to distracting for gamers to be able to distuish players in a split second before they may get sacked. I've always supported you guys and had faith that you guys will produce a better next gen game then these previous next gen maddens not perfect but definitely better/more realistic. Keep up the good work guys it's good to see the community's voice is being heard and implemented in the gm. Yeah QB Vison Cone is back Baaaabbbby!!!

  • andre23 said April 01, 2009

    OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • bkimbrough13 said April 01, 2009

April Fool's haha. naw but forreal i dont like the qb vision 3.0. i'd rather have the old qb vision if anything.

  • SteelersOwn43 said April 01, 2009

To be honest I think this is a horrible idea. If u are gonna keep it, it better be optional (online and offline. U also better take away the jagged edges and colors. I was never a fan of the QB vision & this is making it even worse. If u are gonna put it back in make it just like madden 06's QB vision. Also

i think u should make it so that when u click R3, it will appear/disappear.

Ian, i really appreciate the hard work & updates, but the last 2 updates have been horrible! I would really like to see Create-A-Player custimization for the next update. If not that, then please something about online, franchise, or that u guys are dumping the idea of "QB Vision 3.0"!

  • Joey_Grizz said April 01, 2009

Hey Guys.... I'm liking most of the things i'm reading so far... Not toooo big on QB Vision, but if i can turn it off i'm fine with it being in there, Cuz i understand that there are those people that like the feature.

I'm curious Will the R2 button still be able to be used for sprint?

Now One thing that kills me.... is When i get called for a facemask or a hold... and the defenders hands are like 2 feet away from the facemask... Can ya'll guys make it look like a facemask and a hold... i wanna see them grab the facemask and pull... i wanna see a fist full of Jersey on a holding penalty.... Maybe even add horse collar tackles...cuz they happen quite frequently in the NFL... and even injury caused by these tackles and penalties.... just a little more realism for the game... I know it's a game but nothing suck worst then these inconsistencies

With retired players....Can we possibly get an opportunity to talk them into coming back? or bringing sum folkz outta retirement like the Jets did with Farve... I think that would be pretty  damn cool!

I love the idea, but i also think that you need to make the colors more transparent. You can barely see half of the players on the field. I wasn't really a huge fan of past gen vision cone. This looks like it could be good though.

Something you need to do though is fix how LBs can jump so high and how it is so incredibly easy to get interceptions playing as a FS. In madden FS is probably the most valuable position if you have someone athletic there. That is so not right. Maybe giving less control to DBs will fix this.

U guys should add the Brett Farve shovel pass.... a few people have been doing this... Brett, Tony Romo, Shuan Hill did it.... I guess the QB could get it off while in pursuit outside the pocket, or if being sacked... Just dump it off to a HB or QB lik 5 or 6 yards in front of you....

I read sumone's comment above and they asked for the ambulance back.... I think it would be better if a real cart came out...instead of a player with a broken leg hobbling off the field... it would just add to the realism a little more...

Many caught on right away, but I wanted to officially clarify that the image we released this morning

  • NELL86 said April 01, 2009

Yea just make the colors transparent and have a option to turn it on and off for those who dont know how to adapt and under stand this concepts is the best representation of a real nfl Qb and have it on for online ranked games but a option for unranked and we want ALL MADDEN ranked gamespeople step yall game up

  • IndyColts2 said April 01, 2009

Ian, I really think that you guys should bring back the QB vision as an option, ofcourse just don't make it all colorful and crap. I thought it made user players who knew how to use the control stand out from the other sorry players. I don't know...I think it should stay in. April Fools. No, I am serious though I actually want the QB vision back I am a fan of it.

  • Bearzfa said April 01, 2009

PLZ DONT LET IT BE USED ONLINE AT LEAST IT IS SOOOOOOO UNREALISTIC AN AT LEAST MAKE IT OPTIONAL OFF LINE I REALLY HATED IT I LOVE DIRRECTING THE RECIEVERS

  • FRUITY L3XIA said April 01, 2009

April Fools, thank GOD, QB Vision is the stupidiest thing EA came up with,

  • XxkrigerxX said April 02, 2009

I hate QB Vision - Doesn't matter whether its ON or OFF, it  the QB PRECISION SHOULDN'T BE AFFECTED of throwing. If its ON then its easy for people to PICK where the QB is going to throw.

  • majgoku said April 02, 2009

amen qb vision is blah... instead they should just make open receivers glow like mr smithers.......

  • Chabaca2 said April 02, 2009
