Madden NFL 10 Cover Reveal: Larry Fitzgerald in Times Square

It was a late night last night and an early morning today, but we now know the cover athletes for both NCAA Football 10 and Madden NFL 10. For the first time ever, two athletes will be featured on the cover of Madden NFL 10. Over the past few weeks we showed you nine players that we thought represented the idea of "Fight For Every Yard" in the NFL. Well, here are two athletes who fight every Sunday and battled in the Super Bowl. Troy Polamalu and Larry Fitzgerald share the cover. Here's our video from the event this morning.

What happened to the leading receiver in yards and catches Andre Johnson and sack leader DeMarcus Ware. Typical Madden politics BS. They should have multiple Madden covers like NCAA 10. This is so wrong. Get with the down south program MADDEN.

I just watched the trailer, and have a few comments -

- The new defensive line play looks awesome. Love that the DEs are now going to be able to speed rush, and the O-line can block accordingly.

- The player's looked good. The players on the field actually looked different size, from position to position. Also, the hair is great. Santonio has his short dreads, and Fitzgerald and Troy P have their long hair. I'm wondering if the cover is a nod to hair finally being in the game as much as anything.

- Finally Refs! It looks like Ed Hochuli did the motion capturing.

- My biggest complaint - THE GRASS!. It still looks like they are running on some kind of slippery surface. It could be that realistic grass is really hard to do in football with so many guys on the field, but that needs fixing. I couldn't tell from the video, but I'm hoping that slipping/tripping is in the game as well. Players fall down in the rain quite often, and it's at least once a game you'll see a player fall down. Basically, if we're "fighting for every yard," we need that battleground to behave accordingly.

One more thing - the gang tackling looks much improved this year. The tackle on Edge early in the trailer has 4 Steelers involved! That's awesome.

I already got this game! It looks like EA has been working hard on this game for about a week. At least we know there will be no colored cleats in this game…Its just madden 09 with some duct tape.

Hand over the license EA, you’re done!

P.S a lot of things I see on Sundays are definitely not seen in this trailer!!

(I don't know if EA people look at these things or not, but...) I saw the trailer and things look ok, but I don't know if it was just me but the stadium looked sorta bland... It didn't seem like there was any fan improvement or something that makes the atmosphere seem more realistic (minus the super bowl stuff). Another thing I saw that was sorta questionable was the names on the back of the jerseys. I know they changed it up a little so the bigger names would look better on the back of a jersey instead that tight, hard to see mess on previous games. However, if you look for the players that have 4, 5, or maybe 6 letters in there name, their names looks SO spread out on the back of the jersey, it doesn't seem realistic at all. I know it sounds like I'm just picking at things here and there, but if Madden 10 is striving for realism this year, you have to remember the little things make a big difference. Just saying. Pre-ordered the game already! Keep making good progress and strides EA Sports.

The cover of Madden 10 looks great. It goes nice with the theme and reminds me of the LT and Polamalu commercial. Will the madden curse strike again lol? Hopefully with this all new Pro-Tak animation system the battle of pressing X is brought back. Gang tackling animations looked good on the world premiere . Geez KILLA KAVOR we all now the game isn't perfect, but as long as they make strides each year to improve and as of late really incorporate what the fans really want EA will be on my good side.

2 players on the cover kind seems like its breaking a nice tradition, now its not the madden cover athelete. its the madden cover atheletes. but w/e it doesnt effect anything, at least its two sick players. and for those who said andre johnson ans demarcus ware, are you stupid. what did those guys do special other then stats. dallas had one of the most under acheiving seasons in recent history, and the texans just suck. both the cover atheletes had great stats, performed well when there team needed it, played in the superbowl, and were team leaders( maybe not larry fitz)i think they were the two best choices. except maybe peyton manning. as much as i hate his guts, he had a great season, won mvp(shouldnt have, but did)and that is probably his last good season now he might not ever be on the cover, even though is is one of the best ever.

i seen the first trailer and dude??? it looks just like 09 but the only way i can tell its 10 is cuz theres like 4 people fighting to get that running back down the graphics suck everything does i dont know what ea has been doing the past few months cuz it dosnt look anybetter they need to work on the graphics cuz they suck just cuz theres hand warmers and hand towels dosnt mean its gonna be so amazing the biggest thing is the graphics and how the players run and tackle the tackle animations suck like wow theres only 2 people that tackle you then they slide off the player they tackle its unreal how ea makes games they dont know how to make a good madden game

First time two players are on the cover. I guess it works too having a offensive and defensive player on the cover too.

Fitzgerald has just skyrocketed his market stock this year. What a quick rise! Polamalu is also a good choice for defense.

i think we all understand this isnt the whole game, but the point is that from reading the comments on theses blogs a large amount of people were unhappy with the running motion and alot of the tackle animations because they looked robotic jerkey and just unreal and in this video the first thing you can see is that it hasnt been adressed at all and the running motion is still poor, the crowd are still wavey cardboard cutouts and apart from improved gang tackling and some handwarmers i see no reason why this game is any different from 09.

dang! all u guys are hating on this promo vid that only has a TINY bit to show of what the EA team has actually implimented into this years game! why so negative? well this is what i noticed in the vid: 1- gang tackles can now use more people i saw like 9 guys in a pile. 2- FIGHT FOR FUMBLES! 3- it seems like when a player has a bigger guy in front of him.. the bigger guy actually stops the smaller one (willie parker)from dragging him an extra 3-4 yards. 4- i noticed santonio holmes actually arch his back to make the catch.. nice 5- i see the o-line and d-line play is a lot more versitile this year. finally. thank you EA this was an awesome updat! im looking forward to seeing the madden draft tomorrow! keep up the good work!

O AND P.S-

i know this is a simple request but. in the video i didnt see troy polamalu. so i actually dont know if u guys already handled it but.. THE HAIR! lol. please make it true to life. he doesnt leave it all neat a nice right down the middle.. lol.. make it crazy! please! lol. plus he is your new half of your cover. so shouldnt his hair look the it does on the cover in the game? lol..

Not a big fan of the two cover athletes. That is because I am a Seahawks fan. It was like a double slap in the face. I could bearly watch the SB. As a Hawks fan, I am bias to not like players on the Steelers due to SB XL. Cards a division rivial. I am going to take the disc out of the box and throw the box away. Too bad the same image is the home screen background. Good players, but Manning deserved it more.

petermoore and company i see the sidelines are still yhe same and fully understood what ian was saying about the tough task on making them interactive but couldn't you guys at least have the real players on the sidelines when not in the game and some nice cut scenes like 2k5 and head coach?keep up the work ea and fellas im prettie sure this game will look differnt its really hard to judge it from this quick demo madden graphics has gotten better and better each year go back and play 06,07,08,and09 you will see the differance and i know 10 will be different as well.

You guys have added A Grip to this years game. You took those suggestions and 2k5 comments seriously this time. Excellent. Make sure you add the challenge system that they had so we can choose what we are challenging. Late hits Everywhere, The fans need an Upgrade! Take a look at the latest version of 2K SPORTS games fans, and look at Maddens, it can be done. Lastly can you add the soccer team socks for the players who wear the long. example Nnamdi Asomugha. The long socks where added for the detriot lions in madden 08 it should be an option as it is in NCAA football. Please. As a feature that should be added now or at least as a patch the game like what was done in nba live 08, you should add a logo uploader to the game for created teams. The logos are too preschool. It would be a nice add on. on the create a jersey side we need outlines on the numbers. One thing that Has not been Fixed or not address yet is kind of minor and kind of not minor. First we should be able to edit how the player looks in any game made to keep it updated ex in superstar mode it shouldnt be stuck. if i start skinny and get stronger over the years, maybe i want to modify how my body looks. Conintuing with editing , ive notied that when you edit a player, when you check his bio, his draft status or aquired status goes from first round pick to N/A. The game then doesnt recognize the player, sometimes the preivous years stats disapear as if he was a rookie and progression and minimal progression then takes place for stats. Lastly for the stats Guru, I didnt like how Darren McFaddens speed Stat was dropped during the year. hes faster that those Dallas Cowboy backs and slighly slower than the tenesee titans back. Keep the stats true. Can you be honest. Do you hate the Raiders too. Gallery and Carlise. The two gards should be 90+ overall guards, Satelle should stay around that area too. IF you pull one of those stats switch for example jake grove going to miami and he goes froma raider 83 overall to a miami 88+ overall and satelle does the opposite, I know something is up.

Super disappointing. Awkward, cartoonish running animations, over-reliance on a gimmick (Pro-Tak) instead of revealing new and updated gameplay, and another dumb endzone celebration. No one jumps and spikes the ball between their legs. Why can't the EA developers just watch real football games to see how they're broadcast? Maybe player run over and slap the guy's helmet. Maybe he flips the ball to the crowd. Maybe it just flows a little more normal. I know we wouldn't see this in the first trailer, but why aren't there more cut scenes and videos and highlights within a game? Basically, the same way a game is shown on TV should be how it plays. And when the post-play animation runs, it shouldn't bleed the clock like in 09.

Sorry for the rant. But man, are they going to even come close to 2K5 with their franchise mode? Huge bummer.

Uhhh...I just saw the new screenshots and im disappointed to see you guys have not added new cleat colors. The Fitz wear yellow cleats on the road and the steelers sometimes wear gold cleats. You guys have four months to get these into the game so please add them because alot of people are asking for them.

I hated the running animations. It was a bit too robotic. It's weird. The moment the ball is snapped, players are already doing full strides. And when a ball carrier gets in the open field, the defense dumbs down and their strides aren't there anymore. It's small choppy steps like they are going up on stairs. Have players take small steps to build on full strides. Also, add some stiff arm animations. I rarely saw any in Madden 09.

Wow! That's all I can say after watching the first trailer for Madden 10. According to all the weekly blogs that were been posted about the improvments to Madden since the begining of February, it seemed as though Madden 10 was going to be vastly improved from last years sub-par version. Well from what I saw in the trailer, the producers of Madden have once again failed drastically in their quest to produce a quality game. Madden 10 looks exactly like Madden 09 except for a few minor adjustments here and there. The whole entire Madden game needs to be reinvented because the gameplay is stagnent to say the least and the player models are weak. There are no options for Nike, Under Armour, and/or Adidas cleats yet again, the catches seem generic as usual, the players carry the ball way to conservatively (no palming the ball with one hand or carrying the ball with both hands), the chinstraps are still buckled on both sides, there is no option for length of socks (high, low, crickled), the player models all run the exact same way. The game is pathetic yet again except for the implementation of towels to the uniform. I will most likely be passing yet again on buying both Maddden and NCAA Football this year as well. Why buy Madden 10 when I can simply import draft classes from NCAA Football 07 and have the same game as those consumers nieve enough to buy Madden 10. Its time for Ian and company to get their acts together because to say that Madden 10 is a huge dissapointment would be stating the obvious.

The trailer was ok but here is a couple of things to think about.

*Why is it that the screenshots look way better than the actual game

*Why is the sideline bare:No coach cut scenes, only generic coaches, zero sideline interaction, the superbowl STILL DOESNT FEEL LIKE THE SUPERBOWL, NO ESPN PRESENTATION AT ALL.

*Just because you add refs onto the field doesnt make the game that much better than Madden '09...The game still looks like Madden '09

*Touchdown celebration was the same as Madden '09

*Seriously, if you guys made Nfl Head Coach '10 playable by controlling players too, I would boycott Madden '10

*Why is it that the so called same producers who gave Nfl Head Coach so much depth lack or make excuses on why we can't do this or why we can't do that. You didn't make Nfl Head Coach saying we can't do this so WHY NOT GIVE REAL MADDEN GAMERS SOMETHING THAT WE ASK FOR A REAL LIFE FEEL IN FRANCHISE MODE, A GAME THAT PLAYS LIKE A REAL ACTUAL NFL GAME, WE STILL DONT SEE EVERYTHING WE WOULD SEE ON SUNDAYS, THE DRAFT NEEDS TO BE BETTER IN FRANCHISE, OFFSEASON SHOULD BE MORE IN DEPTH THAN NCAA FOOTBALL'S OFFSEASON, I COULD GO ON FOREVER.

*What really got me angry is that the very 1st screenshot you guys released looked nothing like Madden '09...but the trailer looks just like Madden '09

One more comment that I have is really funny.

WHO MAKES A NEXT-GEN VIDEOGAME WERE THE PLAYERS ON THE SIDELINE ARENT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE PLAYERS ON THE FIELD WHO FOCUS ON THE CENTER OF THE FIELD WHERE THEY STAND AND ONLY CLAP LIKE IDIOTS AFTER THE PLAY IS OVER. WHO PUTS GENERIC COACHES ON THE SIDELINE. HAHAHA TWO WHITE COACHES IN GREY HOODIES AND ONE BLACK COACH...NOT REALISTIC. WHO MAKES A NEXT-GEN MADDEN NFL FOOTBALL AND DISGRACES THE LOYAL FANS BY BEING LAZY AND GIVING MORE DEPTH TO FRANCHISE MODE ON THE PS2 OR XBOX VERSION OF THE GAME.

My god, the game looks great!!!! So far, it's amazing! I saw three new catch animations, which matched madden 09's total for the whole game...

dwill0433, do you realize the game is far from coming out? You're crying like you're about to buy it tomorrow. The thing is, you wouldnt boycott Madden. If you disliked it so much, you wouldnt be here looking at trailers and seeing who the cover athlete(s) are. Grow up and give Madden 2010 a chance. The fans will get what they want. 3 and 4 player gang tackles? Woo!!! Look at the DE/Lineman play! The sideline may be bare becuase they were touching up gameplay that everyone has been complaining about. Go learn about data and game design, then you will learn why you cant put things on a disc. Maybe they wont hold the content.

This directly applies to Grand Theft Auto games for ps2/xbox. There was so much data in the games that the graphics were below average, even poor. Now that the ps3/360 has enough to put it on the disc, the graphice can be upgraded as well as other things.

And if you cant tell, they played the trailer in the Madden 09 super bowl stadium. Meaning everything about the 09 STADIUM( sideline, coaches, fans, atmosphere) was from 09. Basically, they put the Madden 2010 trailer onto Madden 09 and played Madden 09 with Madden 2010 players. So yeah, the screenshot was what you saw, a madden 2010 screenshot. The trailer was a mMadden 2009 trailer with the 2010 gameplay.

HurricaneT it didn't surprise that the NCAA trailer was more interesting than the Madden one. The way that one RB broke the tackles in NCAA felt natural and fluid. The way the RBs in the Madden trailer broke tackles, it was as if it took them forever to get going after breaking a tackle. The gang tackling in the Madden trailer didn't impress me. Seems like the defenders were all running in place embracing each other than trying to take down the ball carrier. I'd like to see defenders literally drive a ball carrier back. At least have one of them try to strip the ball, etc. I'll wait to see more videos, hoping that it gets better.

You can even see Tampa's Pirate ship in the stadium. If this was the 2010 stadium, It would be in a different stadium. So lay off guys and calm down, I thought the same thing till I saw the gameplay. It's an early trailer, and you might get a few glimpses of stadiums in the Rookie screenshots tomorrow. Who knows?

Yo i really hope you guys arent serious with this man! The player movement was STILL CHOPPY. The ballcarrier still holds on to the ball ONE WAY( Loose and NEVER tucked in) no matter who it is. Everybody aint Deion Sanders......... why would they all carry the ball like him! Still no individualism and i hope thats just with the screenshots and not with a players ability. And im not one of those dudes looking for to many things outside of the lines but..... Damn come on EA. I didnt see anything as far as you changing the players " Turning Radius" they still look like they turn on a dime to me. dwill im not trying to start so do not get mad,how do you know if they won't have cutscenes of coaches and etc... ?that was just regular gameplay and they didn't show you everything.also the game is releasing in 4 months so they have plenty of time to fix flaws.

At this moment i'm not impressed, the gameplay looks exactly like Madden' 09 with a few irrelevant adjustments, the running animation looks the same un-realistic and the impression i got is that its just another typical madden game, right now i'm only playing madden because of my love for the game "the real game" I feel like i'm settling for whatever you guys produce, I was excited after going through these boards and reading about how your listening and reading our blogs buts its like you just add a lil adjustment and simply publish half-azz products and because of your exclusive deal you guys always half-step and make excuses. I'm not being critical but that trailer didn't do it for me just left me with a lot of uncertainty.

It seems like you guys just threw in some refs and flavored up some other areas. I really hope this isnt a finished product. I've been trying to look foward to this game like i used to on PS2. If this is the product then yall have just had us posting to these forums in VAIN despite what your first posting said. And if u guys dont respond to the community in a future post then i'll figure that you stopped taking advice a longgg time ago. You still have about 3 1/2 months before the game ships and were only about 2 3/4 months removed from the SuperBowl. If it takes you only that long to work on what is your Cash Crop.......Theres the problem.

the trailer was...so underwhelming I excpeted alot more. the gameplay looked a bit better but the graphics look exactly the same. what happened to that amazing first screen and even the last set of pics from the wildcat formation, they looked so much better. nothing stands out its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bland. whats wrong with you Ea. honestly come on you have been hyping this game like its gonna be the best thing ever end then so us a CRAPPY TRAILER like that?! please guys this game needs a lot more polish A LOT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and there better be some pretty amazing new features as well!

ncaa 10 looks great but it kinda has madden 09 graphics b/c if u remember how it look when you play in the rain on madden 10 thats just how it looks on ncaa 10, but i'm not saying nothing is wrong ncaa though it looks cool actually

and by the way ya'll could go look at like 10 new screenshots of madden on madden10.com, the screenshots are at the bottom you'll see larry fitzgerald on the screenshot first its right above the big ben screenshot, and by the way the picture arent really that impressive

I wonder who got to tell Fitz he wasn't good enough to grace the cover of Madden on his own? Or better, who told John he wasn't good enough to be on the cover of the game whose entire name sake is the only reason the game is a success.

After reading all of the blogs and watching the feeling, all I can say is that I feel betrayed. Developers promised us a new animation system, and what do we see? The same old choppy animations from previous installments of the game. The game still looks too fast as well. Animations of transitions from stop / start are still missing.

You guys are incredible. All the animations that can be in a game wont be all seen in a trailer. The trailer was focused ot the new gameplay, which I believe delievered. The running animation is something that couldve been changes, buy other than that im fine with it. There are still things that most likely have to be tweaked; this is more just a showing of what's to come. The gang tackle didnt drive the player back, but tell me when Willie parker struggled and broke through that two man tackle that wasnt the rrealest madden animation ever. They also gave us a little jumpball teaser.

AND FOR THE LAST TIME, USE COMMON SENSE. THAT WAS THE SUPER BOWL STADIUM FROM MADDEN 09, NOT 2010, IT WAS IN TAMPA.

Things will be tweaked, and EA is listening to us.

On the flipside, I can totally understand that the complaints are just "cries" that we care about Madden and we want it to succeed. So this being hyped up and all, it HAS to deliver.

It think it will. This is sort of the rebuilding phase. It may not be a 10/10, but it'll be much better than previous installments.

A few things I like about the pictures: I like how the facial expressions have been improved..when Troy is chasing Fitz you can see the frown across his eye brow has he trying to catch up to him. I also like the way his hair looks more natural and realistic. I would have loved to see some actual gameplay from within the game instead of replays. That would have given you a sense of what the game would feel like. The depth of field (DOF) looks good but how is that going to be implemented within the game? is it only a replay feat were getting or what. Im dispappointed on a few things and I hope the Madden team (Ian or Phil) reads this. Howcome the crowd looks the same from prev maddens? they should be interactive I mean if 2k9 can do it (hint take a look at 2k9 bb) the game is great has everything a sports fan want in the game. And speaking of 2k howcome they can have real shoes and EA cant get it done. Whats up with the generic reebox cleats, I mean If Im being picky then so be it. This is 2009 there is no reason why you cant have all the real cleats (reebox, Nike, Addidas, underarmour, etc) in the game with matching colors. 2k did it all the 2k bb games I know you pull it off in Madden. Ive mentioned this in a prev post but a few years back you in madden05 you included a dvd that showed how you would have the cleats dig into the grass and kick up grass as players ran. This was right before the 1st next gen madden was released..well its 2009 and this has yet to happen. I would like the madden team to approach making the games like the teams for Metal Gear or GTA. These are not sports game but I think you can take some ideas from them. They put so much time into tiny details that the pay off and make the overall game play that much better. Small touches like the cleats looking like there actually diggin in the field would be "BOMB", the right colors on cleats would be nice. If its in the game then it should be in the game. I know its a long post but I really needed to be at the community day, I know my simple ideas can fix many of the problems the community has with EA when it comes to Madden. Just give us whats on Sundays and everything else would fall into place. Lee

The sidelines need to be interactive with the actual players and coaches..again take a look at 2k9 bb..this can be done.. and please give us the option to choose which jersey we can wear when playing online!!..make the rain, snow stop..the time should be real meaning if the game starts at 2pm by 5pm the sun should be going down...

They're small things compared to gameplay, DOF, etc. so why not just put it in? I know a lot of people that want that done and many more. I have watched the Madden 10 trailer over and over and over again. I am disappointed in some ways. I really would have liked to see colored cleats :/ Also the players still run like ducks. It is cool that it looks like button mashing is back. The Superbowl looks cool.

On some of the Fitz vs. Polamalu pics, you see assistants talking to the bench, different glove styles, the players models look way more realistic, the refs ACTUALLY running downfiels with Fitz, not just being in the game, and look at the trailer.

Remember in 2k5 when you looked to see if you made it, and if you did, the team celebrated? That was in there. And Holmes look like he got started off the line pretty realistically to me.

Plus, these rookie snapshot could reveal more.

JSmithDK - First off, 2K is NOT a part of EA. That's just ridiculous. Also, players don't get fined for the style they wear their socks. Most of the players with "soccer socks" just pull the tops down further. They're wearing the same socks, just in a different way. That's like fining a guy who rolls his jersey sleeves. Doesn't happen.

I'm kind of confused - many people are saying that it is '09 models in the trailer, yet the players looks a little different, all the new custom items (towels, new gloves, etc) are in the trailer, and there are refs on the field. this makes me think that it's 10 gameplay. I've been super excited about this game, but like many others, I was really disappointed by the trailer. I buy NCAA every year, and I want to buy Madden as well. That trailer really made me rethink that decision.

that is ridiculious that matt stafford is getting so much money, his the 4th richest player in the nfl, the only people that get more than him are peyton manning, tony romo, and big ben....... and yes matt gets more then tom brady and matt ryan, they need to add a salary cap on rookies b/c you got these guys just coming right in the nfl already have enough money for 10 years while the veterans worrking their butts off to get 20 million guarenteed

bascially what the nfl is doing to the rookies is making them trash b/c giving these rookies so much money they dont have nothing to prove, because if they work hard its not like they gonna get extra money but if they start out with 15 million guarnteed and not 41 million guarenteed they'll feel like they'll have something prove, and if they become a bust the organization want be losing money but if his a bust they lost alot of money

and giving a true rookie like matt stafford who really didnt do nothing major in college that much money is a shame all he did was threw for 3000 or 4000 yards with 25 TDs and 11 ints, i believe graham harrell should of been a 1st rounder because he did better than matt and mark sanchez this year and last year

graham harrell threw for 5000 yards with 48 TDs and 8 ints, and by giving rookies so much money your putting a heck of alot of pressure on these rookies, and just because they did good in college doesnt mean he is in nfl, because nfl and college are to diffrent things, in college you play against freshman, sopohmore, juniors, and seniors and some of them play just to play for the school and some already know they arent going to the nfl

but on the other hand the nfl has more fit guys who been playing for 10 plus years and they played college football and your playing against the best players because in college you play against some trash players but in the nfl you dont play against no trash players, people might call somebody sorry in the nfl but they arent because if they were they wouldnt be in the nfl

so what i'm saying is nobody knows what any rookie can do in the nfl because college and the nfl or too diffrent things even if they did good in college doesnt mean they are going to do good in the nfl so dont give a rookie that much money, and plus he hasnt worked to earn nothing he already has a manshion, benz, rolls royce, etc. so theres no need to work any harder

yes it is very insane that they are paying stafford that much,i mean come on 41 mil up front and he hasn't even stepped on a nfl field yet. truthfully if i were stafford i will be buying a lamborghini right now lol.if he's a bust,the lions are screwed.

My mistake, ESPN is with Madden, which is what 2k featured/based off of.

It is 2010 players/gameplay, 20099 Super Bowl Stadium in Tampa.

There is a dress code, you have to wear socks a certain way. This goes even to College and High School, I play.

jellybean, I havent because I havent seen anything positive said bout the game. Ive complimented many who made good comments with unique ideas. True, some of mine wont be added, probably all, but at least I have my own mind.

Yes, everyone wants the helmets to be correct, but it doesnt make sense for a guy to cosign with others and post only that idea. Im just saying, say what you think should be in the game, and really give it thought.

No one spoke of the terrible AI, which caused a RB/FB to run Out of bounds in the flats after a catch.

No one talked about the problems with the draft.

Some have, but not many. I believe I even complimented your views, as wel as many others, so Im being harsh because its annoying. If people are discontent with the changes, you have no reason to comment, let alone be here.

JSmithDK - Whether you play in high school or college is irrelevant, and frankly, I could care less. I played football in high school as well, and have several friends who play/played D-1 football - Big deal. None of this has anything to do with the NFL.

This is the NFL. Yes, there is a dress code. But you don't have to wear your socks a certain way. There is a rule about the COLOR of your socks, as they have to all match. Most socks in the NFL are two toned - for instance, the Raiders' socks are black and white. Most guys whose socks look different just have them pulled up higher so more white shows. Now, if a Raiders player decided to wear red socks, he would obviously be fined. In addition, the NFL has really stepped back their fines in the last few years. In '04 players were frequently fined for sock violations, but in today's league it doesn't happen often, if at all.

Me playing validates that there is a dress code policy; point in case, Chad Ochocinco[get used to it, it better be in Madden] had a nameplate and got fined. And who cared if socks are one color or not? You'd have to find every player who wears them different, then give them specifically. The game is a game, not a NFL Game. I dont care about socks becuase I will buy the game to play Madden, not to *** and moan because Charles Woodson isnt wearing his socks his way, or because Clips arent on the Visor. What happens when those clips cause a glitch in the game/online? Yes, that CAN cause a glitch. Then you will *** n moan because there are still glitches online, which there will always be, because people can hack into these systems and do whatever they want.

JSmithDK - Your first sentence makes absolutely no sense. Unless you are an NFL player, it validates nothing. Ocho's nameplate has NOTHING to do with socks, so that is a moot point. Plus, I think a lot of people care about the socks, as they also care about the cleats.

You playing football has NOTHING to do with anything, and has no place in this conversation, so I suggest you stop using that as an argument.

After watching the gameplay trailer, I'm only buying this game now just because Troy's on the cover; sorta like a memorabilia. This is how I feel about Madden 10 by far... =/
