omg, the patriots are killing me man. i have litterally been feinding all the draft hype for the last month like a crackhead and this is what they give me. partick chung. rey was still on the board,c'mon.

  • HurricaneT said April 25, 2009

PAT WHITE rating should be higher

  • kcarr716 said April 25, 2009

I really don't know that white is rated too low as a QB.  A lot of his athleticism plays a smaller role in overall than the throwing areas where he isn't going to be elite.  His athleticism is his real skill and as long as that is properly shown in the game then I am fine with his overall

  • swillz13 said April 25, 2009

yeah why is pat white only 61 u guys really need to rethink ur ratings

  • Jaaged said April 25, 2009

In Bill Belichick we trust, so if he didn't take Rey, I believe he knows what he's doing...

  • Horton23 said April 25, 2009

this years so weird, past years you could accuratly predict college athletes ratings coming into the NFL... Now with these stretched out ratings i dont know how to judge if there to low or not.

  • mk1988 said April 25, 2009

PAT WHITE A 61! that is awful. I dont believe you all actually watched him play, or throw. He has the ability to play qb in the nfl. That should reflect in his ratings

  • dwill0433 said April 25, 2009

I saw on the video leading up to the draft live coverage that on draft day we would learn more on the games features...O YEAH Bill Belichick Im sad that you didnt draft Rey or Vontae Davis WWWWWWHHHHHYYYYYY...I trust him 2

  • dwill0433 said April 25, 2009

Cory I feel ya 2 man I been waiting to see what Bill had under his hoody

  • denverbro89 said April 25, 2009

    we picked Moreno 1st WTF?

  • denverbro89 said April 25, 2009

Alphonso Smith is only a 78 overall, that's two points better than Karl Paymah, I hope this aren't the final ratings.

  • swillz13 said April 25, 2009

u guys gave everyone the wrong gear and stuff u gave josh freeman a d-lin facemask

why dont u give him the facemask he actually wears

    www.thejetsblog.com/.../jfreeman1.jpg

same for jermey maclin and percy harvin u guys need to add more facemask and gear and also actually make the players look like themselves u guys got 4 months actually make them look like themselves and give them the gear they actually wear. and wow the shoulder pads on some of the player (B.J Raji) are really stupid looking there so wide like wow fix that please

  • swillz13 said April 25, 2009

and please add the clips to the visors u know how many people have asked for that and u guys still haven't add them comeon

  • bryantg said April 25, 2009

    1) i think ppl really need to chill out about what the rookie ratings are. HELLOO there is still months till the game even comes out. and plus have you ever heard of ROSTER UPDATES.

    2) the way there shoulder pads look is kina weird tho, shouldnt stick out past their shoulders so far.

    3) adding clips on the visors is a very minute detail, im sure its the last thing on their minds. plus couldnt they make it a game update after the release?

yall need to realize that every little insignificant thing you want in is not gonna be in right now, im sure they still workin on the game. minor details will prolly come later on. CALM DOWN. and you wont get EVERYTHING you want anyway.

  • Glanville79 said April 25, 2009

Guys, they barely had time to throw them in the right uniform, chill out if they have the right facemast now. And with some ratings being low, just wait for the potential ratings with them, that's what counts. Then you will know how fast they will progress. Unless you are only online players, then it doesn't matter about progression i guess...

All I got to say about this draft is the Eagles are going to wipe the floor with the NFC this year. We got a top 5-10 talent at 19 in Maclin! Imagine DeSean and Maclin, not to mention Curtis on the field together. We easily have the fastest WR corps out there. 4WR sets with Westbrook, SICK! And our 0-Line that was great last year, just got younger and quicker and stronger with 2 new pro bowl tackles, plus our All-Pro guard in shawn andrews coming back. The line will be super sick. Short yardage with Leonard Weaver, and a new Westbrook clone with McCoy in the 2nd round of the draft. Give us a TE next round and we are unstoppable. Oh, I didnt mention that our Defense(3rd last year) also got younger and better. Ouch! ...watch out NFC!

  • Glanville79 said April 25, 2009

...true also bryantg, if they play well, their ratings will go up in the roster updates! Dont worry folks, if they are worthy, EA will show it!

  • raczilla said April 25, 2009

Thanks Glanville 79.  You are correct.  Not everything that you see is final and we're a bit cramped for time when trying to get the screens taken so they can be up reasonably quickly during the day of the Draft.

Feel free to keep leaving comments on the uniforms, players, etc., but I do want everyone to know that some of what you see is because we wanted to get the screens up in a timely manner.

    Thanks!

    About Pat White, theres no doubt he needs to be rated way higher, Stop buying in to the hater thoeries... Pat white is just as good as anyone of the other qb's taken earlier in the draft... Or does he have to go on on LENO to get a decent overal rating {specifically accuracy}

  • denverbro89 said April 25, 2009

roster updates are unavailable to me, so yeah I do worry if I have to manually go thru and change every teams roster, so making the ratings accurate is crucial to me.

  • FUDGE 101 said April 25, 2009

I have to agree about Pat White ratings. If you look at the NCAA ratings or comparable real life statistics among the QB's drafted before white, they are not extremely different. Just because people "thought" he would get drafted late and not as a QB doesn't necessarily justify him being rated low as a QB on the team. His pro day was exceptional according to most NFL scouts.

  • amadocjr1997 said April 25, 2009

I want to start off this post thanking all the guys at ea sport's madden for putting up a very amazing show, love the ratings of all the 1st round picks.I'm a huge eagles fan & I liked what they did on day one getting weapons for d nab , but I have to admit every since I SAW THE SCREEN SHOT OF THE WILDCAT OFFENSE ,I'm very interested

on using the the fin's in the madden lobby's, I can't believe they got PAT WHITE? the fin's will have a crazy play book

  • SmoKez4DaYz said April 25, 2009

Mark Sanchez should have a 93 arm power, and 82 deep ball. I don't get how Stafford is rated higher than Sanchez. Sanchez is more polished QB. Please look at their careers. Mark Sanchez also has a lil burst, not like his so so 40 time, his game play speed is much faster.

  • KingMari912 said April 25, 2009

Pat White should at least be a 75

  • xXxMaddenKilaxXx said April 25, 2009

    Pat White deserves 88+ speed.

Vontae Davis needs 85+ hit power.

  • xXxMaddenKilaxXx said April 26, 2009

to give you all an idea of how bad a 61 rating for Pat White is.....

THE LOWEST RATED QB IN MADDEN 09 IS A 62.

here's some madden 09 qb examples.....

    Erik Ainge - 74 overall

    Luke McCown - 77 overall

    D.J. Shockley - 73 overall

    Brock Berlin - 70 overall

    Jeff Rowe - 70 overall

    Ingle Martin - 69 overall

    Calrb Hanie - 68 overall

Even the absolute WORST qb in Madden 09 is a 62.  That is 6'0" 248lbs Qb Darrell Hackney, with his amazing 46 speed.

PAT WHITE SHOULD BE AT LEAST A 78!

Whats up with pat whites rating he can actually play qb you know he needs more credit for that plus his athleticism should boost his rating also brian cushing has a speed rating of 84 and he runs a 4.7 40 but malcom jenkins runs a 4.5 and has an 86 only two higher than an inside middle linebacker cmon sort out the speed differences between the fast and slow jenkins deserves at least an 88 based on your ratings of other players

  • chrisno2darock said April 26, 2009

malcom jenkins has an 86 jenkins deserves at least an 88 based on your ratings of other players

PAT WHITE rating should be higher

PAT WHITE rating should be higher

PAT WHITE rating should be higher

PAT WHITE rating should be higher

  • Cons1 said April 26, 2009

Did everyone forget about the new rating system???

Ratings are gonna be alot lower this year so dont judge rookie ratings to madden 09 ratings because you are gonna be disapointed.

I like pat white too but he is what he is...a very good athlete that can do plenty of things good but not an  nfl starting qb.....yet.

  • Mjolnir1066 said April 26, 2009

Pat White's rating is fine. Read the other Madden Blogs. Speed at QB ranks lower than passing ability. This guy's not going to play QB in Miami, he'll play some Wildcat QB but that's because of speed not decision making. C'mon are you guys just mini-Al Davis or what? Is speed everything? Also, quit repeating your comments.

Now that the draft is over... FIX SUPERSTAR MODE!

Put us in realistic depth charts and give us real position battles, please! You had this in the PS2 versions, why not just port it over to the PS3? It would make the game WAAAAY better and it wouldbe easy to do.

I'm begging you guys. The top thing I've wanted out of Madden 10 since Madden 09 came out was an improvement to the Superstar mode. Don't make me wait another year!!

  • pierre.loquet@gmail.com said April 26, 2009

    Robiskie is underrated.73OV?! He's better!

  • jellybean3454 said April 26, 2009

robiskie runs his routes great his rating should be 76

pat white ran a 4.5 so his speed should be 88 because aaron curry ran a 4.5 to and his speed is 88

pat white throw power should be 90 and accuacry should be 88 he threw the best in the draft

and josh freeman had the biggest arm in the draft so why is matt stafford power higher than his, josh freeman power should be 98

and make sure ya'll add brian cushing long hair

ya'll have donald brown slow 88 he should be at least 89

and how is chris wells faster than knowshon moreno

and mark sanchez power isnt that low 90 come on it should be 94 at least

i think ya'll are rating by what round and pick they were chosen

  • jellybean3454 said April 26, 2009

somebody had sent me a request on ps3 but i didnt accept because i havent been on the game for a while and they had canceled the request, whoever sent it send it again so i can request and i apologize for not bein able to accept it

  • jellybean3454 said April 26, 2009

what ya'll need to add to madden 10 franchise is the rating they had on nfl head coach 09 and the rating they had on nfl head coach 09 were

    work ethic rating

    intangible rating

    potential rating

    athletic rating

    production rating

    size rating

    learning plays rating

    durability rating

Then have personality rating such as

    driven rating

    loyal rating

    realistic rating

    consisitent rating

    dependable rating

    problem solver rating

    patient rating

    structured rating

    competitive rating

    efficient rating

And ratings like that should be only on franchise so that way we know who we want on are team for franchise, and that'll help us know what player fits what were looking for in a player or the type on scheme we run, because we might run hard plays to learn so we might want players with a high rating of learning plays or if we run plays that are easy to run then the players learning rating really want matter

  • swillz13 said April 26, 2009

i agree with glanville 79 the eagles will rape this year also to add to what jellybean said they should also have a leadership rating. and josh freeman should have the best thp atleast 98 or something any way i can't wait till the game comes out hopefully u'll guys improve on everything because i know u guys can do better than that

  • Glanville79 said April 26, 2009

and now the eagles got Ellis Hobbs, another starting corner for 4 years with the Pats, and he will play the nickel or dime for us. WOW! talk about depth. We got Asante Samuel(Pro-Bowler), Sheldon Brown(is going nowhere), Joselio Hanson(beat out Lito last year), Jack Ikegwanu(1st round talent, we got in the 4th last year, because of injury) and Hobbs(4yr starter), jeez this is unreal how young and better the eagles are getting!

  • garbo22 said April 26, 2009

PAT WHITE IS NOT A GOOD QB, ATHLETICISM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THROWING THE BALL TO NFL WR AGAINST NFL DEFENSE. QUIT COMPLAINING
