EA SPORTS sets a Guinness World Record

Posted On: May. 22, 2009 8:45 PM EST By: sk88z 5 Comments

As EA Canada GM Pauline Moller stated, it's not everyday you get to come in to work and set a Guinness World Record.  Today at EA Canada 605 people got together and followed along with Fitness Instructor Carl C who strapped on the Wii controls and led the group through a workout session via EA SPORTS Active.

The record that was broken was for the most number of people taking part in a fitness video game.  The boss asked me to blog it and I was like, "I'm already participating so how am I supposed to get video?"  "Just take it while you're doing it!"  So yours truly was in the middle of the action, shaky camera and all, and there was no better way to spend a sunny afternoon taking part in this historic event.

I'm sure you'll hear more about the record and see more great footage of the event, but check it out here first on the Inside EA SPORTS blog!  Click on images to enlarge.

Haha.  Don't worry Jo, most still had a productive afternoon ;)  With the sun, it was a little tough to head back into the building.  I think I was second last off the field :P

I have a Wii, nobody in my family has touched it to play anything for months.
