I'm happy to have the improvements but many people were asking for weekly highlights, just like we see on NFL Network in real life.

I don't know if im fully sold on this game yet. Sure the new "Extra Point" looks great, but did they make changes to the franchise as a whole? Madden 09 left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth as far as franchise went and im hoping Mr. Looman and the EA staff makes some big changes and it appears that they are starting. Hopefully we will gain some more insight in weeks to come because I can't wait until August 14!!

Everything looks great as far as Gameplay. But what about The Extra Point? I thought we was going to get actual Highlights from other games being played out in real-time so we could see how Aaron Rodgers got those 4 TD passes, not just stats of what he did in game. If thats all thats put into this feature then its the same Presentation as last year with the addition of 2 live people hosting the show.
I know it was a brief video but I hope this is done right. If this is all, I hope its enough to keep us Entertained. I hope for more info on this because this is the selling point for me.

u know, i know that the game will look great. But what about gameplay. honestly, i don't even play the computer, what is the online gameplay like, and what r U going to do about glitchers? i literally avoid people with extremely good records because U know they r cheaters. why don't your updated filter or block glitchers? I only play on-line, without on-line i'd probably note buy the game! please enhance the on-line experience!Thanx!
ok so it all looks great, BUT does the game stil freez up wen ur in franchise mode?? will the game freez wen i try and train my players?? this was a huge problem in madden 09. i quit playing franchise mode because it kept freezing up on me...

How does something like the "QB Walk" make it's way into the game?? Has anybody seen this heinous glitch!?!? It's insane! And what's worse is that the game doesn't recognize that the qb is on the wrong side of the ball. How did this glitch get into the game? This is no ordinary glitch. This is (dare i say it) an inside job. People usually come across glitches at random like when you pass a certain way, Moss never drops the ball. Or hey let me audible a thousand times and that'll mess up his man coverage. But someone deliberately put this glitch into the game and now I can't even go to "Play Now" because I run into these sore losers more often.
Ian, please figure out a way where we can report cheaters!!! And if you need proof, I saved the replays of him doing it!! So anyone who reports cheating has to present some proof. What are saving replays for, anyway? When I try to see them, they're in this little box on the top-right hand of my screen. It's not even half a screen. So what's i'm saying is let's put this 'save replay' to some use and try to get cheaters off Madden online.

have something where you can call plays using a microphone during the game offline only.you should be able to call challenges, and timeouts with it.
in franchise you should be able to choose a pads or no pads practice.
bring back training camp,position battles etc... but with the training let us choose multiple players to do a specific drill instead of one.
have a street football mode if possible.
player's ratings should perminately go down if they get seriously injured but let us build them back up.
everyone shouldn't be able to do the same celebrations because do you expect a DT to be flipping in the endzone?
let us choose our preseason schedules.
let us be able to make new stadiums with out having to totally change the team.
when selecting a color for a helmet in create a team have different types of paint like metallic,gloss,etc...
have different types of chinstraps.
when creating a team and we locate it in the same city as an existing team we should have the choice to play in the same stadium or just make our own.
example: the giants share a stadium with the jets.could we be able to keep the same logo and uniform style when relocating in franchise (this should just be a choice)
i would like the ability to make the orlando seahawks etc...
in franchise have a real mock draft, if im not going to far show some highlights of those players in their college days.
make the draft more dynamic,also say their names,and when they were drafted.
example: the raiders select QB jemarcus russel from LSU.
in the offseason you should have the choice to choose what training camps you want to go to.
in franchise games should be played in the background by the computer but don't let them skip the user"s game, this will give the game some realism and make a ticker of the games played and in progress,put it on the top of the screen.
if a team sucks there should be less people in attendance, like if your the lions the stadium shouldn't be full.
when teams sign with a sponser please don't make them change the stadium name to under armour stadium, snickers field etc.. at least let some of them do it but not all teams and have more sponsers.let the cpu and user make up names for their stadium if they want.
have the maker of the uniform on the jersey if you want to. like have a nike sign on the chest of the player
after a team scores or what ever you should show the fans, make the audience look realer ,show them getting up moving around and leaving from a blowout game etc...
let us be able to choose between the on field presentation or regular presentation.on field presentation is where you only hear the stuff on the field,player chatter,the crowd,coaches and no commentary
we should also be able to edit team's real uniforms/logo in franchise, like if we could make the bengal's helmet black with the green bengal stripes,i think that would look cool.
spend more time with the pre game warm ups (with an option to skip it) because it seems kind of bland.
let the cpu create expansion teams once in a while during franchise,but dont make the uniforms come out stupid or anything.
since i highly agree that you will fix the probowl thing with those fake afc/nfc helmets i hope that with created teams it wont glitch up.

how about online tornaments?
12 teams (however many teams are in the nfl playoffs) total both from the nfc/afc.
you gather some people to play,choose a team and its basically like the playoffs,competing for a superbowl win.you can create teams and put them in there but it will have to be a draft if you choose to make a team

it will be nice to have highlights of the super simmed plays.
i hope that for franchise,the CPU doesn't control your signings and stuff like that because its very frustrating.
also fix the CPU's drafting,example the giants would draft a QB first round (say if they have the second pick) for no reason when they have Eli.
i love the new presentation,but could you have different ones like showing the ariel view of the stadium and saying("welcome to week 1,and we have the steelers facing off the chargers in the beautiful qualcom stadium,now lets get to the field".)
when you preview over the stadium we should see the players warming up and what not.
also i hope that when you have your new highlight show you talk about the plays and not just preview them.
1 more thing have a larger roster capacity for franchise and let us put players on reserve.
Josh Looman is there a way where we can match the online franchise teams play the playoffs and super bowl if our team gets kicked out the playoffs are don't make it, because i would like to watch other teams in franchise mode play the playoffs or super bowl because i might not even make it to the playoffs or i might lose in the playoffs
and some equipments needs to be fixed because ya'll dont have eli with his wristbands because he has the small wristband with plays on it and Derek Anderson but thats not really a biggie just a little adjustment
would love to see highlights from other games not just numbers and a host also how about high black and want to see players look like what they look like on sunday for example reggie bush eyeblack, mouthpeice, and high socks
jellybean, just looked at the postgame vid. Looks great, has more of a NFL postgame presentation. Automatically shows all the kep plays instead of having to pick from 5, most of which really werent.
I dont really like that wid camera view though. Looks cool but I like to be up close and personal to my players. LOL

Madden 10 has a really good shot at being Sports Game of the Year.This is the most realistic football game I have ever seen.Franchise mode is finally heading in the right direction,both online and offline.And the gameplay itself is also looking good.Now if we could just get Superstar mode back on track everything will be perfect!
everyone needs to realize...this is a game... a computer system....not real life. Theres only so much you can do with a game. what are you guys expecting?

1st off, i agree with warrior, enough with the bitchin bout armbands and socks...is that really the "make or break" thing that will cause you to buy the game? no. if you are that wrapped up into fashion, you probably aren't that much into football. go watch some "*** eye for the straight guy" reruns and leave the gridiron strategizing to us non fashion conscious (and straight) football fans.
and as for EA actually "taking " any of the advice we have been generously doling out over the past 3 months, forget about it. they may have considered an idea or 2 back in the 1st blog or 2, but since then, and especially at this point, this game is 99% done. at this point, they are merely working out bugs and doing other testing to get ready for the release. if someone thinks they are going to start from scratch to develop their lil suggestion, write the codes, integrate it into the game and extensively test it to make sure it doesn't cause problems, they are living under a delusion.
maybe a good idea might be brought up when they start designing madden 11, but as far as this year goes, we are in june folks. the game release is august 16. that means the game will ship the 1st week of august and sit in warehouses like amazon for about a week to 10 days. that means (going backwards) the game ships from the manufacturer towards the end of july. that means they produce them throughout july. that means the game has to be ready to be produced, with everything worked out by the end of this month... no excuses.
and that means this game has to be done now...with only final bug testing and other "wrap up" tasks happening this month.
i do have the sneaking suspicion that even tho really no advice has come from these feedback boards, that the very existence of them and the inevitable coincidental mentioning of ideas that they were already doing that we will be used in the marketing campaign to sell this game. they will brag about how they went out and "asked the fans" what they wanted to see and all that crap...when the reality was is that they used this blog to slowly throw out features of the new game, get feedback and analyzed it not on whether or not a feature should be included, but rather how much it should be promoted. if the vast majority of fans were big on something...expect it to be a key advertised feature. if the reception was lukewarm or cold, expect that feature to not be hyped so much.
in my mind, a successful madden 10 will depend on the following....
1) is it a more accurate simulation than madden 9?
2) can i do what i know about football on the controls, or are they set up in a confusing, illogical manner?
3) fatigue will be a huge factor. esp in no huddle situations, or in situations where spot players are used like a play making starter / star. or mental fatigue when multiple audibles are called or other confusing situations.
4) can the AI be easily fooled into recurring patterns that can be exploited by someone who knows a lot about video games but not much about football as madden 9 can be?
5) will the introduction of the wildcat make a joke of everything else EA did to make this game a better sim?
6) a better online experience. including the ability to play co-op. including being able to easily access more info on my opponent. including a better ranking system that isn't just about win streaks that can be piled up by playing known bums.
7) penalties being accurately called, especially interference and illegal contact. also replaying and showing the actual infraction would be nice.
8) being able to accurately choose what i am challenging in a play.
9) i hope madden 10 will not allow illegal plays to happen. like players going out of bounds and then catching passes or making illegal contact with the ball. or like or like fumbling the ball into the endzone at the end of a game (the madden rule that was installed into the NFL and that madden the game ironically ignores).
10) some method of policing cheaters online.
11) some way to not have to play the CPU to get a win when my coward opponent quits online.
12) for the programmers to refrain from the usual "inside jokes" of writing in glitches and cheats that only end up ruining our gaming experience. anyone who has experienced the WR snap or QB walk know what i'm talking about. and yes warrior, most cheats are inside jobs. hitting a pattern of buttons doesn't cause a cheat, it merely activates what the programmers wrote into the code.
there's more, but that's enough to chew on for now.

let the cpu do this too but not too often,every player shouldn't except a deal for unretiring.

well we all know that what they have showed to us is a huge improvement, but also remember that they said that they have more omprovements for the presentation, i am pretty positve that they will show highlights and have the playoff patches during the playoffs because if they didnt do that for the super bowl in the game then why bother on not doing it for the playoffs, im looking forward to this game now and more of the announcements for the presentation.

and if you watch the madden 10 videos you'll see how harder it is to score on defense because the better coverages and thats how really NFL playing looks like
i love the extra point but what made me disappointed was when they said that theyd show highlights all they did was show stats...im hoping for just alittle more, but i saw they show highlights for after the game, im just hoping for a weekly highlight thing for all games, its just how i am, other then that though i cannot wait for the game to come out.

Today on espn I just saw the stats on some of the top position players in madden 10. 2 things im glad to see. Nnamdi is a top defensive player. Make Him really shut the oposition this year! and Zach miller a top TE. My Huge Concern. ZACH Millers Speed is WAY TOO SLOW. Zach has the speed of a WR. My Proof is the week 4 game VS SD chargers. Zach Burns SD for 63 Yards. He MATCHES "SPEED" STEP FOR STEP with Ronald curry and Ashley Lelie and also the speedy Justin Griffith whom should aslo recive a speed boost. :::Since you guys at EA are Listening to Community this year. I think this is something that must be fixed. I also dont like how there are some Running Backs with slower 40 times than darren McFadden are Running Faster then he is in Madden. I.E. Felix Jones, Jamaal Charles etc. Every since you brough his speed down the Offense with DMAC has diminished. he Vendetta and against the raiders continues. This year you need to make accurate speed Judgements and not bring speeds up or down during the season. Quit cheating for the somehow 97 Overall rated cowboys and felix jones 98 speed BS.
As Requested Again and again. This year Were looking for Presentation and Accuracy.
:::Team Socks::: Either High whites, low Colors, Full soccer colors, or Normal team stripes. We dont want to see tape wrapped above the Calf of a player. You did it in NCAA 09. it needs to be in Madden.
:::Create-A-Team::: Should Be the Exact Same Way this year as it is in College. The new feature with customer Logos is great. For madden this year it should be there not only in Create a Team but also like in ps2/xbox days we should be able to use this feature for Franchise mode as well. Ive been dying to hook up the raiders with new uni's. The only Problem back then was we couldnt have the current NFL logo appear on the team helmet which defeated the Point. This feature from NCAA 10 NEEDS TO BE IN MADDEN 10.
