NCAA Football 10 TeamBuilder hits 100k Milestone

Hard to believe we are only a few weeks away from July 14th and the release of NCAA Football 10. Actually part of the game released back at E3 with the launch of the TeamBuilder website at http://teambuilder.easports.com  and the site has just hit a major milestone with 100,000 teams created! It’s amazing the amount of work and detail that have gone into creating many of the teams. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done everyone.



The work on the TeamBuilder site has not stopped, we’ve been able to add a few features the community asked for as well as address some issues.

The biggest is the ability to knock out colors on your uploaded logos. So now a logo like this:



Can look like so by just removing the black background:

 

Basically it allows you to add transparency to a logo in the site itself instead of trying to do it on your own. Giving you helmets like so (much easier):

 

Also we’ve added the ability for you to save your team’s overview as an image by clicking the “Save as Image” link right above your field:

 

Which will give you the following type of breakdown:

 

These make it really easy to show off your team to friends without them needing to log onto the TeamBuilder site.

Then there were a number of small upgrades and fixes:
•    Search results will now display 150 schools on your first search and will continue to fill in schools as you scroll through them.
•    Fixed a bug with the roster cutting of the last player
•    Fixed a bug with my schools link not working when browsing schools
•    Fixed a bug with not being able to save schools with “&” in the name
•    Fixed a crash when a school could not be found

And that is not all, the team is working on making the back button on your browser save your current state (so your team doesn’t get lost or messed up) and the ability to Bookmark teams to make it easier to find your favorite teams later.

It’s been a heck of a start for TeamBuilder; you’ll have all kinds of teams to choose from to start the NCAA Football 10 year off right. I’d like to thank you all for the feedback and the teams already created.

    i was wondering if we start a dynasty and were already in the 4th week and we change our uniforms online, will the changes apply for our dynasty or no??? ive create my team already...but i still need work on the jersey but i love my logo and stuff...i was just wondering btw???

    Could ypu add the option creating two more sets of pants you can create 4 jerseys but only two sets of pants thats my only problem,

    why cnt we create a stadium...is it too much work?....but i understand if it is...and im using the USC stadium...will the Trojan colors be around the stadium??

    yeah the belt colors and wat bout the cleats...we cnt do anything but go from white to blk...we should be able too customize the cleats...i mean i like the cleats that madden 10 has why cnt we have them?...or is that how real college football has to keep there cleats plain blk and plain white.....

    I agree with the belts and the cleats but what about colored socks?? not every team has black and white socks...please add colored socks..

    Ahhhhh Yesssss thank you all I have always waited for a feature like this now I have full customization over my tream from there look on the field to the field itself... Thank you EA sports for taking the time to antswer My personal request. I feel this mode is just for me. I've done 4 teams and have plains to do many more. The only question now is who to choose? You guys probly rarily hear that you did a great job. I love the work your doing keep it comming. Once again great job and thank you very very much I mean it! I can remeber the wait to get the new Ncaa usta be bad. I would fiend for more info and screens don't get me started... But now thanks to inside blog and teambuilder the wait could last alot longer in comparison (Ignore that last statement and ship on time please!!!!) I love it i could type all day but I won't thank you!!!!!!!!!

    I think that I speak for all of us that created teams so far when I say that YOU SHOULD WORK ON ADDING A THIRD SET OF PANTS TO EDIT! ON THE DEMO FLORIDA HAS 3 SO WHY CANT WE!

    i was hopin to have more than just 2 pairs of pants. a team like texas tech has their red pants with black stripe, black pants with red stripe, and white pants with a red and black stripe or even missouri has a black pair, a gold pair and white pair. Could you work on developing at the very least 3 different pant alterations for the created teams? And another thing i was wondering was lets just say for example i pick Colorado's stadium for my created team. I know Colorado has a big scripted "COLORADO" above one of the endzones. Would that still be there even though my team were from, idk, Kentucky and their colors were red and gold? if so, that would be another thing to work on. But other than that, i couldn't be happier with the creat a team feature

    It would be cool if they you guys were able to add 2 logo features that way gamers could also add those well wanted conference logos and sponsor logos(EX: nike, under armor .....ect).

    one other addition i think would be really cool to have would be the team name written out on the jerseys. Michigan State and Oklahoma (for example) have it on their jerseys just above the front numbers. Now that would be a really cool feature to have. You should definitly work on that.

    i think that we should be able to add text on the jerseys above the numbers, a lot of teams have this and it would be a nice addition to give people more options

    i wish you could add pride stickers to your helmets, like what ohio states helmets have.  Not only add pride stickers but also be able to customize them, like where each pride sticker would be located at, and also it would be cool if you could put text above the numbers, and even on the back of the jerseys, but other than that this is the best create a team ever made

    i would love to see a camo feature like armys new jersey. Also lettering on the chest. Colored cleats, belts and socks. Also the ability to add Nike, Adidas, or Under Armour logos unless that messes wit copy right. Maybe three or four types of pants and helmets. Custom pride stickers!!!! Other then those many adds great beta and cant wait till its complete and total.

    For anyone who may be interested in downloading some North Carolina High School Football programs I have created 35 teams in the team builder feature. If you are interested search for PS3 format using (Swampgator15) These are just some of the heavy hitter High School programs in 2A, 3A, and a few 4A programs. Most of the teams are teams my high school in Kannapolis have played in the past either in regular conference play or playoffs. The uniforms are as acurate as I could research. Have fun.

    can you make where u can type periods for the coach's names or stadiums

    i.e., WKU plays at L.T. Smith Stadium but on team builder you have to put LT

    Am I the only person that thinks the game play on this game sucks!!!  It is even worse than last years game.  You can use the teams you create in a dynasty.  The band in pre-game is pretty cool.  I wish ea would hire some real football coaches to help with the game play!!!!!!!

    Why aren't we able to use our teambuilder teams in any other capcity online other the "online dynasty" It seems to me that if me and my buddies are able to download all of each others teams and our team and roster files are all the exact same ans consistant accross the board why dont your guys enable it please to allow everyone to use teambuilder teams in private sessions and quickmatches????//

    russ can we get more revolution helmets, all the revolution helments  on the game no real college players wear anymore. why should i spend my money if the players dont look like they do on the game. for example like brandon spikes helment and tim tebow
