  about time they made David Harris better. He was great his rookie year. Last year he was hurt and they make him suck. Now they just need to give Vernon Gholdston his speed back. These guys are worse than Dr. Evil stealing peoples mojo.

  If you already started a franchise you are screwed.

  EA needs to figure out a way that roster updates can be incorporated into existing franchises.  Or give us the oportunity to make the changes manually in our franchises.

  Anyone from EA listening?  Can this be done?

  Vick a 73? Get outta here.  He's easily an 85 at least.  He's only been suspended for two years, not injured.  So according to EA, Vick is equal to Josh Freeman (unproven rookie)and worse than Joe Flacco (2nd year manager at best), Matt Cassel (Moss and Welker made him a star), Matt Stafford (unproven rookie), David Garrard (Derek Anderson pt.2), Marc Bulger (no longer an elite QB), and Jason Campbell (Is he still in D.C.)?!?  How is it that both Favre and Vick have the same throw power (93), but Favre has a partially torn rotator cuff?  The Vick hate has spread into the virtual world too I see.

  Can we get another mode with Vick and Donte Stallworth where you get drunk and run over all the animal based mascots in the league?  I'd pay 80 MS points for that one.

  re: Vick a 73... I'm glad he's back in the NFL mostly so people can remember he isn't a good NFL QB.  He's a good athlete, a good runner, probably good in Wildcat but as a passer, he was always so so.  Throwing everything way too hard, making late reads.  Sure his WR talent was never great but he was always just an average QB with great speed.  So I don't know that 73 overall (as a QB) is that far off the mark, I'll give you 79 maybe but not 80 or higher.

  Heres something to update for you EA SPORTS creator idiots.

  Vikings have 2 bars on the RUN D Section Loading screen, same as the lions, less then the seahawks, less then the Pats. But can I let you guys in on a well known fact?

  Who has the best run D 3 years in a row, and still going?

  MINNESOTA.

  FIX IT! Not to mention the pre-release had the rating really high, only second to the steelers, but obviously its lower then it was originally posted for no reason at all. I have 360, maybe PS3 is right, but 360 is completely wrong.

  my problem with m10 is the pass receiving. the receiver turns his back to catch the ball over head way to much. they do it on simple and routine routes. why cant u fix sideline catches and receiver goin out of bounds. they should show awareness when close to the out of bounds line. this has been a problem since forever though i see little complaint about it. this is essential to gameplay, players learn this in popwarner. especially shld it have been in this game,you need to watch footage of T.O. and the other top receivers see how they wrk the sideline and back of the endzone. remember the winning TD catch in the superbowl!

  When are you going to fix Mike Sellers rating. He is a great full back and when i play with the redskins he sucks at blocking and is regularly smacked by much smaller corners and safeties. The man is one of the best all around fullbacks in football. You would think him starting in the probowl would show that but still he gets no respect. EA please fix this

  Ok... Here we go. You guys were supposed to be fixing the FB dive.. That Sh!t still works toooo well. The side step that you guys show in your blog i havent even seen once. The man Coverage is better, but its to difficult to guard the flats. The pursuit angles are still Horrible! I NEVER...NEVER see a DB just get beat on a go route and the receiver run for the score without being interacted with. And i Hate the Patriots, But theres is no reason why i should be able to have Aaron Ross Backpeddling for 10-15 yards then turning around and running stride for stride with R.Moss and CONSISTAINTLY breaking up the play with NO safety help!!! Which brings me to ALL OR EVERYTHING PASS DEFENDING( if a defender puts his effort into knocking down a pass( and the Rec. IS AHEAD OF HIM) he shouldnt be able to then turn around in one motion and make the tackle. If it was "What i see on sunday " He would be beat!! Unless there is busted coverage or a zone a wideout can never get behind the D, or the QB just cant throw the ball far enough to get it pass the safety( WHO ALSO..Backpeddles his way into Perfect position every time) Thus... allowing almost every defense to play 11 men in the box! And speaking of In the Box.... Still the pass rushing by a User controlled player is F@cked up! The game is TOOOOO far based on Playcall vs Playcall. Once again that is important..but if thats all that matters then maybe you guys should make a game with made up names. Because theres no use in player recognition. Still to difficult to get off of Olinemen blocks(unless the Playcall is a blitz, which would just lead to the World Famous 2-5 yard passes ALLLL   DAYYY) LMAO.  Stop implementing Bullshit to offset Bullshit. Everything about this game is a gimmick. Fix the game!  Or please  Please Dont renew ur NFL agreement.         Oh yea... and that Fight for the fumble Bu!!*** has to go to. Just my opinion.....when five guys from ONE team is on the ball. There SHOULDNT BE A  "FIGHT FOR THE FUMBLE". Unless of course the play still runs for 4-5 more seconds until the other team comes around. U have that down to a science dont you?

  I'm really upset about yermiah bells  speed (79) compared to jamaal charles  (93), watch the video www.nfl.com/.../Jamaal-Charles-Highlight-WK-16-vs-Dolphins-2008,

  bell is clearly faster, and ran alot further (think the hypontenues of a traingle) and still caught him like a bullet.  Also the ratings for the dolphins make absolutely no sense.  Sean smith is a rookie starter at cb and even got an int first preseason game and shut down tory holt, he should be higher than vontae at least a 79 or 80.  how in the hell is brandon jacobs faster than ricky williams.?? ricky is faster than ronnie brown in real life, kevin faulk is rated higher, lmao.  also channing crowder had almost the same identical stats as mayo last year, but had to split tackles with porter (adalis thomas was hurt for mayo) and crowder doesnt have the luxury of wilfork and company up front protecting him, he has two rookies merling and langford (who should both be in 70's) his rating is way too low.  his speed (74) is exactly the same speed as a backup tackle (74) on the dolphins squad.  The tackle ran a 5.4 40 lol  and has same speed as crowder.  ginn is by far fastest player in nfl, and only has 97?  hester 4.38, ginn 4.06, wheres the justice!!! also i traded cassell for brady to see the team rating and the pats were still the best rated team in nfl, and clearly last year that was not the case, all their ratings are inflated.  they have three 2nd round picks above a 70, yet the rams 2nd round pick which was picked ahead of all three of them is a 63.  there offensive line is severly overated. read this for proof:  forums.azcardinals.com/showthread.php  matt light ranked 23rd, makins 26th, Koppen 29th, yet all three are above 90 lol!! jason peters was dead last, hes so overated yet his ratign is through the roof! do you guys just randomize the attributes or just pull crap out of your ass and make them up.   pennington most accurate qb in nfl HISTORY yet hes not a 99 in accuracy ??  sanchez is better than vick? really?? really??? he hasnt even taken an nfl snap, and he could be another lienart.  DId anybody see pat white in action, his passes were on the money up his accuracy, and he is faster than that as well ran a 4.4 in the 40.    chad jackson on the broncos has 85 speed when he ran a 4.26 at the combine?? , and lastly tom bradys injury is an 89 after having season ending injury??  hes out all year goes down 2 , jason taylor has a bad season in a bad scheme and he goes down to 79? ea continues to hate on the dolphins.

  I highly recommend EA get a sliding scale especially for speed with 40 times, 4.10-4.20 99  4.20-4.25 98 4.25-4.30 97 and so forth for some of the attributes to makes this realistic you have one year till 11 start researching now.  take into acount bench press stats for strngeth etc.  if someone used to play wr and is now a db, they should have pretty good catching etc.   if someone used to play qb and is now anohter position they should be able to pass as well.

  thanks E suckfest A for the roster update this should have been happening way back when, oh and besides the game sucks as usual..I guess a defensive linemen will lead the league in interceptions since they easily get them on here right? (if it's in the game then it's in the game) but no need for any complaining by me as the game has been bootlegged, burned, etc..for those who know what I mean..lol I wish I would pay full price, $5 sounds much better ask me how?

  Its not just you though. You are the face of the "franchise" over there at EA, a group of ragamuffin developers who seemingly have taken creativity, innovation, and art out of game design. I am almost ashamed that I am in a creative profession.

  Let me start off by saying that I 100% believe that Ian Cummings and his team truthfully believe that their exclusive deal motivates them and doesnt hinder their game design.

  With that being said, I think its time you guys got a clue.

  I nearly fell out of my chair when Ian twitters that one of the guys "spent their own time making the broadcast camera work". Wow, seriously? We are giving people public accommodations for doing make up work on their off time? Fact: The Madden development teams priorities are jacked.

  You get no credit for being a madden developer. You get no credit for trying to release a good game, and lastly you dont get credit for back of the box features unless they work like they say they do.

  This year we get to talk about :

  1) Pro Tak(its new, so we are working out kinks)

  2) Online Franchise (its new so we are working out kinks, and its a base to improve upon)

  3)Broadcast presentation( Its improved but a base for the future to build on)

  4-- do I need to go on, basically your selling point for this game, the above 3 "features" are either broke, implemented wrong, or incomplete.

  Not to mention you managed to screw up Feild goals, online ranked games, and incomplete passes seemingly by not touching them somehow. wow.

  But you were in the forums man, saying how great it was going to be. We listened to you with your cool hand towels and custom field artwork. whatever man. Do us all a favor and get off the forums. Let us go back to where there is no relationship. You can get what you need from the community without announcing Ian Cummings is here.

  You know why 2k5 is better than your game dude? seriously? Cause that development team wanted it more. They wanted a peice of that *** man. They came to work and did what needed to be done, they lowered the price tag. They wanted to take out Madden and they did it. They didnt get credit for staying a little late after work to fix a camera view. These dudes lived together for 12 months, sleeping on beds made from nails with pictures of John Madden in their lockers

  Now all we got is some cowardly looking individuals lacking confidence lying about all of these great features.

  Do us a favor, next year, just fix all this broke stuff and dont add anything. Maybe for once we can enjoy the game rather than spend hours and weeks creating sliders and salary caps and somehow trying to play the game through all of this garbage.

  I would offer you luck, but you dont need it, your Ian cummings! Go on hustler.

  wow, you guys need a football GURU!!! not a geek guru that only watches when he has too.  The ratings on the teams are some of the worst i've seen in a long time.  You have TE's that are faster than WR, young, FIRST ROUND WR.  You have LB that are faster than WR, you have DT's that are faster than WR.

  I don't know how all the Major companies have said that this game is one of the best.  They must look at your video and go from there, because everything else about the game is rightfully half AZZ!!!  In Madden 9, even after having the LB or the DT beat, they were able to catch up to a WR on a deep route and intercept or defend the pass.  In this game, same thing... nothing new.  

  One of the WORST Madden games ever!!!!  someone here gave this game a 4.8 rating, i think it should be lower, but since i'm not creating the game and the guys from EA are not going to change anything about the game, 4.8 out of 10 sounds good.  

  HOLD UP THOUGH! the graphics were very nice overall, but the game play? 1 out of 10!!!!!

  Donny Moore, If you are going to fix player ratings, than you need to change Kevin Smith and Cliff Avril of the Detroit Lions. KS is only rated an 81, yet as a 12 game starter on the worst offense in the NFL last year he put up 1300 all purpose yards and 8tds. Numbers just as good as Gore, Grant, and a few other starting RBs all rated higher than KS. He should be an 84-85 with a speed of 90. Also Aaron Brown's speed should be a 95 as he is lightning in a bottle. Next Cliff Avril only started 4 games and saw limited downs on the worst defense in the NFL yet managed 22 tackles, 5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles. Name an End that started all 16 games and had the same numbers and I bet that list would be long. Last years game had him as a 79, but here you have him a 71. He is most likely going to be out Dwayne White for the starting job and you have White rated an 82. Avril should be a 79. Even simming games in the first season of my franchise he had 14 sacks. Please fix these.

  BTW, Avril is the projected starter over White if you go to the Detroit Lions website. Last year White started almost all the games and only had 6.5 sacks, which is why Avril is the projected starter this year, because he is better than White. Marinelli started White cause he coached White with the Bucs. Had Schwartz been the coach last year Avril would have started over White all 16 games and had at least 10 sacks and you guys would have him rated an 80 or better. Avril played limited in limited action on the worst defense in the NFL yet put up just as good of numbers as the teams starting ends. Please fix this.

  Madden 10 is a better game than 09.  At least I can play a game without the bugs and freezing issues of 09.

  That being said, that should not be the criteria for a good game.  I still feel like the guys at EA are headed in the right direction.  They are trying.  And probably doing the best they can.  Sometimes though your best isn't good enough.  Obviously from all of the negative comments about this game they do have a ways to go.  People aren't making this stuff up EA.  You have some serious issues to tackle with the future of this game and your attempts to make it shine.

  In reality, the lack of a competitor is definately hurting us gamers.  Madden needs a challenger.  The development team needs to come to work everyday wondering what the other guys are doing.  They need to earn the top spot, not buy it.  Competition is healthly.  In the case of Madden the lack of competition has lead to an "oh well" attitude and a "deal with it people" thought process.

  If you are going to monopolize the system, at least give your customers the courtesy of feedback to our complaints on this board or a similar forum.  For the money you make from this game you could have a 24 hour response board manned by professionals that can at least address some of the issues discussed in your forum.  To totally ignore us is an insult, and shows me that indeed you are enjoying your excusivity of the football license way too much.  Competition.  Walmart has Target, Ford has Toyota, 2K baseball has The Show, there is room for everybody and the best usually wins and survives.  The best also works harder and doesn't take it for granted.  Taking it for granted is where you're at right now.  Collect the paycheck.  And screw them.

  Customer service guys.  Don't take it for granted because eventually if you don't have it it will come back to bite you in the ass.

  Too many drama queens whining about Madden 10. If you have CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, then fine, express it as such NOT yelling, calling the devs and EA names and such. The goal SHOULD be to get improvements to the game that are LEGITIMATE not display overly emotional, personal diatribes. At the end of the day, EA is a business and they ARE listening but thinking that going off the deep end in your posts is the best way to get it done, think again. They're not listening to a lot of this person whiny baby garbage that many of you post because it sounds personal with your own personal agendas (I know many of you seem to think, subconsciously, that you're going to get another NFL2K SOMEHOW with your rants - Nope, 2013, at the earliest...maybe) and that's NOT the adult way of handling things so be bratty sounding children all you want. You are dealing with a CORPORATION. Understand that and do you really think that EA wants a flop of a game? Obviously they took the time to blog and such like NEVER before because they wanted feedback from the consumer. Construct something of a list of what you would like improved/added that is actually constructive so they actually WILL look at that, maybe even print it then post it as something to reference in the future.

  Oh, and to those complaining about the lack of competition - Have you been playing Madden the last few years, including Madden 10?? Do you NOT see the improvements?? I don't think people are putting things in perspective and not understanding the across the board additions AND fixes that were attempted, this year, UNLIKE any other Madden year and this is WITHOUT comp. They get a new pres at EA Sports, promote a dev to lead dev to take over from the last lead dev, they actually, finally, cared for and encouraged feedback AND implemented a lot of the things from the feedback. Plus, do you even know how much work, dev time and bug testing they have to do in just less than a year?? Wow, I don't think people get any of that then they look at Madden 10 as some sort of failure and they "need" comp??? Remember, this was done WITHOUT comp but, truthfully, the REAL comp they had this year was to compete for our dollars. Peter Moore helped put that in perspective for them. They have the license on luck all the way through the whole year of 2012 and for them to do what they did for this Madden didn't even have to be done.

  I say great start with Ian and Peter at the helms and Madden 11 should be SICK if they stick to what's there, for the most part, and just tighten it up, although I do want them to take game planning and the play call setup system from NCAA 10...and hopefully they can improve the animations engine or get a new one for more organic movements.

  I think many of you want waaayyy too much if have played Madden 10, thoroughly. U need Ian's blood, too? How about Peter's? They did a ton for one year and we do have next year's PLUS patches for this one so settle down. Remember this is all WITHOUT another gaming company's NFL football game comp. I say this is pretty impressive, overall.

  yeah because i posted a link about the broncos lineman and tehy changed three of their ratings in the next update, so yes I do believe they listen.  THey are game experts, I couldnt do what they do , but they do need some help regarding players attricutes.  *** have everyone during the offseason come in and run a 40 do bench and some cone drills and rate them based off that.  but when my fat ass left tackle is faster than my rb or wrs something is wrong with that.

  1) you need to bring back the smart player feature and add some math to it.  you guys at EA botched it the last couple of years because there was a lot of potential with smart players.  as on now, there is no reason to have a smart defender on my team.  NONE.  ray lewis should be able to read the HB POWER O if it has been run three times in a row but he doesn't???  here is my chart...

  play recognition ratings:

  A) 98-99, the defender can read a play the 3rd time a play is used against him

  B) 96-97, the defender can read a play the 4th time a play is used against him

  C) 94-95, the defender can read a play the 5th time a play is used against him

  D) 92-93, the defender can read a play the 6th time a play is used against him

  E) 90-91, the defender can read a play the 7th time a play is used against him

  my smart player idea is awesome.  it would work.  people who only use 3 plays the entire game will have a difficult time because the smart players will sniff them out

  warrior, my dude, it's called maturity, experience and growing up. Maturity and growing up gives you a broader perspective and understanding. I was young, too, even mailed them a letter (for those who remember having to mail letters, back in the day. lol) half yelling at them about what I wanted and didn't want in Madden, when I was in middle school. Plus I've been in the corporate world for quite some time. People who don't deal with that don't understand that so it has NOTHING to do with shielding EA. Many of you are just really over the top as if the game is utter Atari trash or sumthin'. You know why many of you just wanna spew hate at EA? Because you have NOT grown up and matured enough through life experience. Like I said, there is a way to go about voicing your opinions, NOT using fire and brimstone. Doesn't work in the corporate world cuz unless you have connections or sumthin, you'll be out on your ass, for real. Again, there is a way to voice your opinions so you can be heard like an adult, not crying like a child. U ever deal with a child? Think about it and also remember the old saying that "you'll catch more flies with honey".

  Oh, and warrior - I don't know if they will read what I wrote but I put myself in a better position to be heard by being constructive in what I posted. You know how many people attack EA dawg?? U think THAT'S truly being listened to and the way to go, at the end of the day? C'mon, dawg. YOU be real but I guess that's YOUR reality so I can't knock that...or can I? Hmm...  

  As for my post on op sports, jellybean, I could do the SAME exact type of post for even 2K5 where there would be loads of things that they could improve on and add but I still give that game an A with room for improvement to reach an A+, IF 2K ever makes another NFL2K game.

  See the reason why I could give Madden 10 an A- yet still have a laundry list of improvements and additions is because of understanding what goes into what they tried to do and what they accomplished especially compared to Madden 09. That's how I think and that's why I broke it down to arrive at that grade. When your mind hasn't matured to the point to understand this, a person will tend think every thing is black and white with no grey area. Talk to me in about 10-20 yrs and see how life grey areas your ass to death. Lol. TRUST ME when I tell you I know. Life is definitely not as cut and dry as one who hasn't really experienced life would think and many, even as they do grow and mature, still have a hard time understanding that concept.

  And don't take this as an argument but as an enlightenment yet at the end of the day, think what u wanna. Keep attacking them knowing they have the license AT LEAST til the end of 2012 and keep thinking they want you attacking them or understand that they want constructive feedback, which will more so get paid attention to.   also, players like percy harvin are not a 97 speed.  he should be a 92 speed with a 99 acceleration.  he is quick, but not fast.  i would like to see a game where quickness means more than pure speed, as in real life.

  and what's with the madden challenge?  usually it's in 32 cities in the fall.  this year it sounds like you are only going to 3 cities???  please clarify this.  you guys should be expanding your tournament tree.  instead of 32 cities(like last year) you should hit up 64 cities.  that way people in every state have the opportunity to compete.  if i live in western north dakota where am i supposed to go that's affordable?  EA has a lot of money.  you should hire more people and expand your tournaments

  I understand what you are saying.  I even said they are heading in the right direction.  But how much time do we give these guys?  If they were in the NFL they would be pretty close to getting cut at this point.  There are just way too many complaints,  Granted some are whack but most are legit.  Read them.  What is most disturbing is some are from last year.  I'm sure they work hard and take pride in what they are trying to accomplish, but sometimes, for whatever reasons, your best just isn't good enough.  I'm not their boss, I don't sign their paycheck, but something is just not 100% right.  

  You talk about maturity and growing up, a lot of that comes from taking criticism and swallowing your pride.  Give Madden a competitor and watch the humility start coming out.  In this case it is totally about the lack of competition.

  It is so crazy what some of you think need improvement and what doesn't. What's a good addition and what shows the consumers that EA sports is going in the right direction. Cause in all reality this is by far the Best Madden Yet, though the previous iterations weren't so good so this compliment in itself doesn't say much, but it is the best yet. The commentary may be weak, but it doesn't take away from the gameplay itself or make me not want to play games. You're not an actor, nor is Chris Collingsworth, but he is a great broadcaster, but not a great actor. Which is what they do when they record their lines. Also you forget how much information and memory is used so the AI triggers a certain line when certain events happen in the game, so yes some of the phrases will be repeated. The devs are limited by the power of the consoles they are creating the games for. The online franchise needs work, well guess what this is the first year they've done it. How many features work great the first time they are put in. Not many, in any game. Just be thankful it's in the game. The camera issues will be fixed by a patch soon I'm sure of that. The Madden shop is lame in a way, cause you shouldn't have to pay for items that should be in game, but then again it's their right to do it. I have the money so I bought them, if you don't, shut up. It's not a big deal. Oh and you're thoughts on the AI's intelligence, there are too many variables to make a case for that. Degree of difficulty and the sliders make it hard to determine the true weight of the AI's intelligence. Play on All-Madden without tweaking the sliders and see how smart defenses are, and how hard it is to run and pass. Everything you guys complain about is simply a variable that can be  changed when you tweak an option. If you don't like something about this game, leave constructive criticism and maybe they'll take into consideration and change it later.

  Everyone who is complaining about numbers being wrong, placement in the depth chart and positions being reversed with certain players. Shut up! Please shut up! They have more important things to do. As you can select that player, go to edit and change their number yourself, change their position so it's correct and move them to their correct spot in the depth chart. There are 32 teams and 55 players on each, which is over 1500 players. There are bound to be inaccuracies. So stop whining and go to edit player. Next speed ratings in this game are based upon position. You may have a DT rated higher in speed than a WR because that DT is fast compared to the average DT. Meaning if your DT runs 4.6 to 4.8 40 he may have a high 80's rating in speed, as that would be fast for DT. So on the other hand if you have a WR who runs a 4.5 to 4.6 40 that would be slow in comparison to other WR's. Which is why he would have a lower speed rating. That's why you see such desparities. Stop whining, that's why it's a more realistic game. Watch that DT try to catch a WR in the open field and I bet he doesn't even come close. I have a RB who is only an 87 in speed yet has no problems out running DE's Lb's and DT's who have the same rating, as their rating is based upon on the average speed of that position. WHich is why there aren't a whole lot high 90's overall. As in the real NFL there aren't. The ratings for certain players can be tweaked, but overall, they are spot on. Take Boldin of the Cardinals, his speed rating is low, cause cause what, he is slow compared to guys like Desean Jackson, or even his teammate in Breaston. This is the most accurate ratings system we've seen. Don't complain about something you don't understand.

  Man you guys are seriously retarded. The fight for fumble feature can be shut off at any point in the game, so if you don't like it just shut it off, and shut up about it. In real games they do fight for loose balls in a pile. Which is why they added that feature in the game. It needs work, but if you don't like it, shut it off and watch as you lose more fumbles. Secondly, yes dbs, lbs are much smarter this time around, and do move and break up plays they wouldn't in real life. Well guess what, in last years game it was way too easy to pass, which is also unrealistic. Yes it's weak to just make guys better who aren't that good to offset it being to easy to pass. But considering they only have one year to make this game, I would say it's the best they can do. Besides if you're a good QB and have great control of your WR like I do you won't have a problem, cause it's all about timing and where you place the ball that determines how the defense reacts to it. Also getting off O lineman is easy. You have to play to your defensive lineman's strengths. Like they do in real life. Which is why there are four different moves you can make to beat the O-line. IF you always use a power move and your DE isn't good at power moves, he won't get to the QB. IF he his good at finess moves than use the swim move and watch as you get to the QB. Also it's based on the O-lineman's skills too. How good is he against the pass rush, how strong is he. See in this game you have to actually know your opponent, like they do in real life. SO all you people complaining are just people that have no idea what it takes to make a game, and someone who knows nothing about football and is just plain bad at Madden.

  well the fight for the fumble (i'll call it fff from now on) comes up at uncessesary times.my man would have the ball (falls on it and all) and then the mini game would start.im not complaining but its stupid.

  currycash - I gotcha. It's understandable yet look at what they did do in ONE year WITHOUT comp. They covered a lot of ground and it could even be said that they spread themselves thin, yet and still, there would STILL be people complaining that they didn't do enough to whatever degree. Yes, for years it can definitely be said that EA wasn't trying, and helped create the current crybaby mentality when it comes to Madden and their other games. I completely get people being upset cuz I was when it started feeling that it was mostly animation and roster updates, more than anything, in every Madden iteration. Even then, I say they were but just were misguided thinking that they needed to come up with more and more features instead of fixing core game play.

  Before it was more so a bunch of legitimate griping against Madden but what has seemed to happen is that even though it is obvious that EA busted their asses trying to get this Madden to be the best ever in a one year period, overall, people continue to cry ridiculously as if EA really didn't put work in Madden 10. THAT'S the part that I don't get and makes me speak on it. Reading some of the posts around the net where people are outrageously nitpicky, yelling in caps calling Ian and co all types of ridiculous names and getting beside themselves because they can hide behind a keyboard is bothersome. I truly think that most of these people have anger management issues and/or don't know how to express themselves without getting upset. I just try to be a voice of reason but I definitely yet is ANY video game 100% right? Be reasonable.

  fight for fumble is cool but needs to be fixed. Like i've won like 5 of them based on the red bar that goes back and forth but the other team still got it, if you don't go by the bar especially whn my guy is on it first how do u judge who gets the ball. Also players will be laying on the ball for 3-5 seconds and a player from the other team will dive somewhere within 5 yards and the minigame starts. WHY???? the player clearly had the ball and that user usually loses the mini game cuz they assumed that they just had a big fumble recovery. I would like to state a propisition that most players will probably agree on. Get some madden players and football lovers on the developement team next year. And instead of just adding and fixing a few thigs. DO everything that you can! Real madden players will still buy the game year after year especially if its fixed. EA just recycles the garbage madden has turned into on the next gen sytem y not make it as good as you can each year then recycle and fix any problems?

  2 things I would like to see EA add/fix as soon as possible (next patch):

  1-Create a player in franchise mode.  If you have an existing franchise, roster updates are useless.  If we had the ability to create a player we could add a Farve or Vick to our existing franchise manually.

  2-Injured reserve.  Injured reserve is broke.  If a player gets injured and you put them on IR the player still remains on your roster but you should be able to add a player.  The way it is now the injured player can't be replaced.  Why have injured reserve if you can't replace the player?

  I uploaded the roster update and was astonished to see that Drayton Florence was taken off!! What are you guys thinking???? Seriously, he is the #3 guy on the Bills CBs and you take him off for Ellis Lankster, someone who, at best, is gonna be the dime CB. Get your facts straight before you make a dumb change like this. Honestly, before you had him in the mid-60's and suddenly he drops off, not only the team, but the league??? C'mon guys!!!! Its a great game, but at least get the roster situation down. And I bet other people feel the same way as I do about other dumb roster moves.

  Trey - anybody whom stands up for EA is obviously not very bright.  they CAN make a game that keeps everybody happy.  for example, they should make their skill levels better.

  Rookie: this level should be designed for people whom play less than 50 games(online, franchise, or face to face) per year.  this level should be friendly to the user and allow them to score quite easily.  for example, a QB drops back to pass and most of his recievers are open.

  All-Pro:  this level should be designed for people whom play 50-200 games(online, franchise, or face to face) per year.  this level should be somewhat difficult to score but not too easy.

  All-Madden: this level should be designed for the hardcore ballers whom play over 200 games per year.  the pass coverage should be very tight and it should take superior strategy and stick skill to outwit your opponent.  i believe the current all-madden level is too easy.  it's not very advanced for the hardcore gamers whom play in tournaments.

  also, there shouldn't be an east and west lobby for online play.  there should be a rookie, all-pro, and all-madden lobby.  that way people can choose whatever level they feel they can handle.

  also, there should be more online tournaments.  there is a lot of potential there.  oh, and please get rid of your ELO points system.  it sucks because whomever plays the most games win the tournament.  you could play level 1's all day every day and win the tournament.  not cool

EA, all we ask for is for you to give us correct roster updates for the current gen.   Ea you need to just try harder, stop with this crap on how your changing the game and just because it's a new year it's better.  JUST MAKE IT BETTER, don't talk about fixing the features and problems eventually, just fix them!!!!!!  Now the game as a whole is good but the damn ratings and rosters are terrible.  The rating scale system was a good idea but in order for it to work you need to get the ratings right.  I'm pretty sure Tomlinson had 3.7 yards per carry?????? And he's the 4th best RB in the game?????? Hmmmm interesting, OH and Kamerion Wimbley, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME, he has 95 finesse move, 95!!!!!!!!!!!  He had 11 sacks in 2006 and a total of 9 since then, that's ridiculous, just accept it he's not that good.  And is it that hard to have players that are on the team ACTUALLY ON THE DAMN TEAM!!!!!!  Make it possible for a team to have injured players not take up room on the roster instead of just releasing them to free agency, or better yet my favorite when you guys take the player OUT OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!  Do you think we don't notice when you take a player that was in the game out of it????? We're not stupid, we watch football and we know our teams.  Stafford is too good, he sucks if you haven't noticed, yet he's like a 83.  The Eagles are WAY WAY TOO UNDERRATED, HEY NEWS FLASH, they were ranked 3rd in total defense last year, yet they suck.  I was playing the Steelers and I was expecting them to blitz, you know because they do blitz, in real life, but 90% of the time they blitzed 3 people!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!  And my last thing is the team schemes, The broncos and Chiefs play the 3-4 in real life but in the game they play a 4-3, why is that??????  And REX RYAN probably the most aggressive coach IN ALL OF FOOTBALL has a 40 aggressiveness?????? WHAT THE HELL!!!!!  FIX IT!!!!!  Don't get me wrong I'm only critical of madden because I see the potential and it can be SO MUCH BETTER, but you have to just do it already, people won't wait forever and the sooner you get that the sooner the game will get better.

Get outta here.  He's easily an 85 at least.  He's only been suspended for two years, not injured.  So according to EA, Vick is equal to Josh Freeman (unproven rookie)and worse than Joe Flacco (2nd year manager at best), Matt Cassel (Moss and Welker made him a star), Matt Stafford (unproven rookie), David Garrard (Derek Anderson pt.2), Marc Bulger (no longer an elite QB), and Jason Campbell (Is he still in D.C.)?!?  How is it that both Favre and Vick have the same throw power (93), but Favre has a partially torn rotator cuff?  The Vick hate has spread into the virtual world too I see.
