NCAA Basketball 10 - Dynamic Updates

This year with NCAA Basketball 10 we’re going to be giving you guys Dynamic Updates every Monday after the Top 25 has been released. Dynamic updates will be coming directly from ESPN.com and will update the stats for all the teams in NCAA Basketball 10 as well as other aspects of the game.

Here's what gets changed when we send out the Dynamic Update:

-    Points per Game
-    Steals per Game
-    Blocks per game
-    Assists per game
-    Turnovers per game
-    Win/Loss Record and winning streaks as well as losing streaks
-    Overall and conference records

With these updates you will also get the latest top 25 and RPI for all teams featured in the game. These updates are showcased in-game on all relevant broadcast overlays as well as in the Dynamic Updates menu. There will be speech that supports win/loss streaks as well as the Top 25 itself.

Based on these stats team ratings will rise and fall. For example, if a team starts the season unranked and all of a sudden plays well and appears in the Top 25 then the team ratings will reflect those changes. Just like you see in NBA LIVE 10 we want NCAA Basketball 10 to be fresh every week you play the game to reflect what’s going on in the actual NCAA season.

With Dynamic Updates you can expect to see new plays for your playbooks and even new motion offenses. If you see Duke run a different motion offense on TV that isn’t already in the game, with Dynamic Updates it can easily be added.

Dynamic Updates will also provide authentic schedules for the NCAA season so you won't have to play out a schedule that isn't akin to what you're following in real life. These updates will be extended to the NCAA tournament as well. When the tournament draws closer there will be updates for the correct tournament bracket for this year's competition. It's all about having an authentic college basketball experience and Dynamic Updates provides this.

    Very cool.  Glad to see a college game work to find a way to try and keep it fresh, despite being unable to use player likenesses.  Looking forward to Tuesday!

    I HAVE NBA LIVE 10 AND IT IS A STEP UP FROM LAST YEARS IN MANY ASPECTS. MY CONCERN IS THE DYNAMIC DNA AND HOW IT SHOULD AFFECT GAME PLAY IN THE GAME. MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND FEEL THEY COULD NOT VOICE THEIR MINDS ON THIS MATTER BUT, I AM GOING TO BE BLUNT ABOUT IT...... HOW IN THE BLUE HELL MR. MO WILLIAMS IS THIS AUTOMATIC 3 POINT SHOOTER IN THE LIVE RUN ALONG WITH MR. NASH? THEIR NUMBERS ON THEIR DNA IS TRASH WHEN IT COMES TO SHOOTING FROM THE 3. HOW COME THE GOOD PLAYERS GET THE SOUR END OF THE STICK AND THESE SUB-PAR PLAYERS GET THIS HUGE BOOST? I THINK THE PATCH THAT WAS PUT IN WAS A GREAT HELP ALTHOUGH IT OPENED A WHOLE SET OF ISSUES THAT HAPPENED IN LIVE 09. I PERSONALLY FEEL YOU ARE STRAIGHT GARBAGE IF YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE ROCK TO THE CUP IF YOU HAVE TO RUN AROUND AND SHOOT ALL DAY. THE LIVE RUN IS A TEAM EFFORT BUT, I IS SOME HOW OVER SHADOWING THAT NEW FEATURE AND BEING EXPLOITED HEAVILY. WILL THIS ISSUE BE FIXED? WILL IT BE IGNORED BY YOU GUYS? I PERSONALLY FEEL YOUR DNA SHOULD BE ACTIVE IN THE LIVE RUN. FOR EXAMPLE, MR. CHRIS PAUL DNA NUMBERS PROVES HE IS DEADLY FROM THE ARCH BUT, HE IS THE SUB-PAR PLAYER COMPARED TO MO WILLIAMS/NASH WHO FOR SOME ODD REASON ARE THE ARCH GODS IN THE LIVE RUN. WHEN I PLAY OTHER PLAYERS IT IS THE SAME GRIPE WITH HOW CERTAIN PLAYERS PLAY IN THE LIVE RUN AND IN ANY OTHER ONLINE PLAY THEY ARE INJURED? IF THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE ON THE DYNAMIC DNA THEN DON'T SHORT CHANGE IT IN THE LIVE RUN. FIX THAT DAMN BLOCKING TOO. HOW YOU TO BLOCK A SHOT AND YOU TURN THE OTHER DIRECTION AWAY FROM WHERE THE BALL IS GOING. THAT IS GOING TO BE A CONCERN LATER ON THIS YEAR IF YOU DO NOT GET IT CORRECTED. NOW I WONDER IF YOU ARE REALLY READING THIS AND WILL DO SOMETHING TO GET THE ESSENCE OF BASKETBALL 100 PERCENT AND NOT 90 PERCENT. THESE ARE THE ISSUES THE LIVE RUN COMMUNITY HAVE AND I AM VOICING IT LOUD.

    People, please understand that EA can not place names on these players.  The reason being is that there are legal issues that prohibit such activity.  The NCAA doesn't allow player likeness in their games.  When NBA Live, Madden NFL, or any other professional game is made there are contracts and agreements with player unions.  You will be able to name players in your player modifier.
