Starting this season I am going to run 2 types of Online Franchise Leagues.(Draft and Real Teams)

The leagues will only be open to mature sim players only. We will have strict rules on gameplay and activity.

I have been in many leagues and ran many leagues over the years and now its time to build the ultimate

Madden Franchise !

This is for serious Madden players only. The season will progress each and everyday. So you will be expected to be online alot.

I will be looking for a graphic designer , several admins and article writers. The players that take these positions will have to show me what they got to be hired for the job.Their will be nice benefits for helping out in the league such as free microsoft points, gift cards, and even nfl autographs and game used jersey pieces.

You know what piss's me off is that no one on here is complaining about all the online cheating in madden 09 that been happening I would stop worrying about all the other minor things and worry about cheating I pay $50 a year to play xbox live and its funny the people who make madden put these cheats on madden its almost impossible for someone to sit infront of the tv and figure all those button combo's I think they need to crack down big time on cheating and I guarantee the top 10 players in madden all use those cheats its bs

you guys amped up the injury animations...love it

what happened when urlacher smacked farve and his helmet flew off!?!?!? miss that

another thing during the actual gameplay make the sidelines realistic, im tired if watching my awesome run with willie parker, looking at the sidelines, and noticing that all the players on the sidelines are looking forward some having the same jersey number, and also bring back the animation of us being able to knock over the coaches,players, camera men, security guards,sideline refs, refs in the field.

I know in the past there were maddens that did this but not all these animations in one game.

last but not least, the one thing that i really want to improve. Weather and the effects it has on the field, players and their jerseys. If its a rain game and natural grass, the grass should be torn up jerseys should be covered in mud soaking wet, and we should barely be able to make out who the players are. snow should have the same effect but when a play dives gets hit, etc they should slide across the field! wind make the ball fly weird when thrown jerseys should flutter. if all wind and percipitation mix the game should turn into a run dominate game

Please say it aint so??? Are there few improvements in the franchise mode? And if so are we gonna be blinded by the presentation ooh's and ahh's and not the depth of the franchise mode? Don't get me wrong I like superstar mode but I can do without if it meant having more depth in the franchise mode. I know it's a little too late to be complaining but I was hoping to be surprised by new information on this years madden. I like the new features you added to Madden 10'. But it means nothing if I can't translate it through building dynasty. With all the new features how would I want to play franchise mode for years to come. I even tried simulating games just to get through the season just so i can add college football roster to madden. That was the only thing that was exciting. The franchise mode presentation was boring, along with the menus. What happen to the info that was giving by analyst? How would I tell if T.O wants out of buffalo and I he might be interested in my team? How about having agents call my team offering deals for their clients? What about rewarding points for getting rid of a player who's a locker room distraction? That would boost the teams morale positively or loosing a great player to free agency and having a negative affect on you teams. Just a thought.

Please add pictures to the players that wont have em' b/c it gets annoying just looking at blank pictures when it brings up the stats of a player like nba 2k9 the players always have a picture even if its like 2050 just have a random pic. please

Really, really great stuff guys... Madden is gonna be unbelievable and after not buying 09 I will defintely get 10.

One request though... finally you guys added a lot of things about the customisation but still something is missing. The Romo-like band. I've seen pictures already of him and even though he has his throwing motion it doesn't quite look like him because he wears his bands on the elbow. He wears it underneath the elbow... like Favre, like Roethlisberger on the one side, like Dallas Clark, like Burress on the one side... please fix it... after all you have done it shouldn't be that hard to do or?????

Lots of cool new stuff for the new Madden! As with everyone, I have some ideas:

1) Training camps. For some reason, the Training Camp drills were taken out with nothing to replace them. Something new in this area was needed, and you already have the key to that: Potential ratings. I'm a Cowboys fan so I'll use them as an example. We have 5th round pick Mike Mickens and 4th year vet Pat Watkins at safety. Mickens has insane potential, but isn't anything yet. Watkins is a core special teamer when healthy, but may have maxed out or is coming close to it. There's only one spot available on the roster, and you have to make a choice. Add this kind of stuff, along with 80 man rosters, and it adds a ton to the game. Rather then those Training Camp Drills which make guys get too good too fast, there can be stuff like runthroughs or practices. At the end of camp (around the 2nd game of the preseason) you make the first cuts and get to see lists of guys who had a good camp, a bad camp, along with potential ratings. There are whole new worlds such as unhappy players requesting a new contract and not showing up to camp, and things of that nature. It adds a whole new facet of realism to the game.

2) Jump balls. Some guys just can't be stopped. An example is Larry Fitzgerald. You can throw it up to Fitz in double coverage and have him jump and get it. But in Madden you can't do it. Even with a high, arching throw, recievers just put their hands up due to animation flaws and the ball flies right over their head. Something needs to be done about this, especially on fade routes. Here are some prime examples of what I'm talking about:

3) More interactivity in Superstar mode. Yes, you have the ability to be one player, but it doesn't feel like anything special. The current superstar is outdated and is in standby while other facets of the game advance and it needs to be adjusted. Things need to be added like:

-A full scouting combine rather then just the 40 yard dash and the bench press (stuff like the 3 cone needs to be added in, along with position drills)

-Diet and training regimine to impact his play on the field. Different players eat different things and train in different ways because every player has a different body. It's time to do something about it.

-A more interactive draft, including where you go (not everyone should be a first round pick) and getting a call from a team

-Contract negotiations and holding out for a better deal depending on your leverage with the team. But holding out and missing camp may have an effect on your play, so it's risk vs reward

-Practice and the ability to configure depth charts. Some guys like to play as the number one guy right away, others want to work their way up the depth chart. Maybe a 5th round reciever must make the roster playing on special teams before he cracks the lineup.

-Who you hang out with and what types of places you go, where you live, and more to help you establish a reputation. I'm not talking about Madden vs Sims, but I'm talking about things like setting your calendar for a charity event that will help out the city your team plays in.

-The ability to change your number/equipment after you've been drafted.

4) New Create-a-Team and Create-a-Stadium features. Again, there needs to be more to feel like you own the team rather then just making it. Things like new stadiums, stadium rennovations, custom logos, more uniform customization, player customization, moving your franchise team to a new stadium (or a new city with a new team name and uniforms), etc.

5) More complete offseasons. Things need to be added in such as restricted free agency (with teams offering first and thrid round tenders or 2nd round tenders). There needs to be a more complete draft, with things like player scouting, draft workouts, scouting combine, pro days, etc. I would also like to see players getting long-term deals. I'm not talking about locking up Jon Kitna for the long term, but if Ware has one year left on his deal, it should be a priority to get him locked up before he hits free agency the following year. Maybe someone is unhappy with the team so you have to franchise him to keep him around. Then there are elite guys liek Haynesworth and Housh that still wind up hitting the market. It just adds more interectivity to free agency. The offseason should no longer taks 15 minutes to finish.

Everything you guys put n Madden 10, from the graphics, to all the new anamations, the new presentation, the new online modes, and franchise mode especially, is oustandng but the thing that dicipointed me, was that you improved run blocking but you didn't improve the running animation. Every time a player sprints in madden 10 there back is like in a straight 90 degree and thats not right, in real football when someone is sprinting they tilt there back foward a little and they don't kick there legs up that high like in madden 10, also in madden 10 when they run they look a little bit robotic and on top of that when your jucking or whatever your suppose to thrust your feet and i don't see that in madden 10. That is a shame that in madden for the ps2 you'll made great running animations but in a nex gen system you'll can't make good running animations, this doesn't make any scense to me, I hope you'll fix this problem before madden 10 is released.

I would like to create my own helmet with a more realistic emblem then what the real teams use. The Lions have a blue leaping lion I might want a real safari lion or just the words. Also how about a Legends all star team. Example I could have 52 players that played on a given team since the teams existents. The best Steelers team vs the best Browns team. Make the same game available for NFL Head Coach as with Madden.

I'd like to know how these blocking improvements will be tied to ratings. For example, you mentioned momentum, so obviously speed, strength, and weight should be factors. What agility, run block, run power (and the passing equivalents), and awareness?

how about online tornaments?

12 teams (however many teams are in the nfl playoffs) total both from the nfc/afc.

you gather some people to play,choose a team and its basically like the playoffs,competing for a superbowl win.you can create teams and put them in there but it will have to be a draft if you choose to make a team.

also with online co-op i hope that you can compete against two other people online,man if you add these things it will be sooooooooo cool.

many others and i brung up online franchise but after a while i disagreed with it because i doubt people will be on it all the time and it will be unorganized.but if you can pull it off,that will be cool.

co-op online play, i think i was like the only one who spoke upon that on inside blog and i hope that your listening to us on insideblog,i spent way too much time on my ideas while playing 2k4 and madden 06 and also just thinking about what will make the game better.

okay the online francihse I agree with, what I'd like to see in the future is something that nba live has done for a while, which is playing with the legends as well as the current players on the same teams, such as the fact that you can place the shaw of the 90's team with the shaw from the suns for an unbelieveable two of three front court conbiation, what i didn;t like in nba live pc 08 was that you couldn't rearrange the divisions as in past years, hopefully in the next game "nba live 10) we can do this, i'd like to see the ea developers also place at least a six to 8 slot per division for fantasy teams as well as online or private game scheduling for seasonal as well as franchise mode, oh yeah, also, could we at least have a season situation where we didn;t have to break up the teams we create or nuild with one season after our playoffs are over instead of having to go franchise?

we should also be able to edit team's real uniforms/logo in franchise, like if we could make the bengal's helmet black with the green bengal stripes,i think that would look cool.

spend more time with the pre game warm ups (with an option to skip it) because it seems kind of bland.

let the cpu create expansion teams once in a while during franchise,but dont make the uniforms come out stupid or anything.

since i highly agree that you will fix the probowl thing with those fake afc/nfc helmets i hope that with created teams it wont glitch up.

have something where you can call plays using a microphone during the game offline only.you should be able to call challenges, and timeouts with it.

in franchise you should be able to choose a pads or no pads practice.

bring back training camp,position battles etc... but with the training let us choose multiple players to do a specific drill instead of one.

have a street football mode if possible.

player's ratings should perminately go down if they get seriously injured but let us build them back up.

everyone shouldn't be able to do the same celebrations because do you expect a DT to be flipping in the endzone?

let us choose our preseason schedules.

let us be able to make new stadiums with out having to totally change the team.

when selecting a color for a helmet in create a team have different types of paint like metallic,gloss,etc...

have different types of chinstraps.

when creating a team and we locate it in the same city as an existing team we should have the choice to play in the same stadium or just make our own.

example: the giants share a stadium with the jets.could we be able to keep the same logo and uniform style when relocating in franchise (this should just be a choice)

i would like the ability to make the orlando seahawks etc...

in franchise have a real mock draft, if im not going to far show some highlights of those players in their college days.

make the draft more dynamic,also say their names,and when they were drafted.

example: the raiders select QB jemarcus russel from LSU.

in the offseason you should have the choice to choose what training camps you want to go to.

in franchise games should be played in the background by the computer but don't let them skip the user"s game, this will give the game some realism and make a ticker of the games played and in progress,put it on the top of the screen.

if a team sucks there should be less people in attendance, like if your the lions the stadium shouldn't be full.

when teams sign with a sponser please don't make them change the stadium name to under armour stadium, snickers field etc.. at least let some of them do it but not all teams and have more sponsers.let the cpu and user make up names for their stadium if they want.

have the maker of the uniform on the jersey if you want to. like have a nike sign on the chest of the player

after a team scores or what ever you should show the fans, make the audience look realer ,show them getting up moving around and leaving from a blowout game etc...

cause it just ruins the game when its a 4 and 10 and there on there own

24 yard line.. add the fair play so that they dont go for it on 4 down to make it

more realistic. you know make it like a real game scenario.. no team in the nfl is gonna go for it on a 4 and 20 or even a 4 and 8 they would not go for it they would just punt.. so like plz add the fair play to online.. ppl just dont know how to play realisticly.they just dont and it makes the game boring and fustrating..

BlacHaze48 - i agree with you on the AOL of the top ballers. EA needs to address this. their ELO points system sucks. here is how it should be done:

beat a level 1 - 1 point

beat a level 5 - 5 points

beat a level 25 - 25 points

...and so forth. this would encourage people to play higher level opponents to try and get more points

blackflagz10 - i agree with you that madden 2010 is a make or break year. we have struggled with the poor gameplay and glitches since madden 07. i would throw the biggest party ever if EA sports goes bankrupt. at some point in the future someone will take down EA on the inside. i mean, if someone could purposely put a bug in the game before the release date EA would take a huge hit.

I hope E3 is a big splash for madden with easy to setup online franchise, online spectator mode, a Pre-Game, Halftime, and Post-Game Show. Everything in regular mode should be online in my opinion. Madden is the best going frachise bar none!

Mr. Blunt, i agree with you %100 on the fatigue issue. I have that same problem with no-huddlers. There's no way Moss can run 50 yards upfield 3 times in a row at full speed without getting tired. But being at yellow just by running back and forth on audibles is a little excessive, man. Maybe from 99 down to 92, but yellow is like 70-85 in fatigue.

Ian, i just looked at the rank #1 player for Xbox 360, and his average level opp. is 2....2!!! How can he be ranked #1 when he's bumhunting?!? At least for the playstation, rank #'s 1, 2, 3 average level opp. are over 10. Madden Nation needs a new and accurate way of ranking players online. And a way to report cheaters. No, not cheesers, cheaters. There's a difference. I just played 2 QB walkers in one day. That only means that this glitch is getting around fast, and there's no way to report it. Cheaters ruin the game for alot of kids who just wanna have some fun and trash-talk. Holla at me, Ian.

ummmm to be honest it all looks the same as every year on madden! why cnt my o-line drive a guy straight into the dirt like in real life? or why does the blocker let his defender go after the running back runs by him? i thought o-lineman were taught to finish blocks! and also im hearin through the great vine that madden 2010 is adding fair play and all madden online ranked games! if this is true i think this will be a HUGE step for madden! im sick of playing on skill levels where there is cpu assist on every play! and can they please bri9ng back user strafe catching again! it killed me last year (online especially) not being able to use my wr height! if a player is playing one on one jus the corner vs reciever more than likely the receiver is going to win that battle! now because of not being able to user strafe catch on 09 all you see is guys running zones everytime they kno you are passing! i mean there is nothing wrong with forcing a player to try different things but gosh not being able to complete a pass over 15 yyards is amazing especially if you have a team like the patriots who are a pass first vertical passing team! MOSS TO BRADY. I LOVE THAT! now dont get me wrong that does not mean i want to see guys just throwing the ball deep everytime you see one on one! why cant the defender and wr both go up for the ball? example would be on the old versions of madden on xbox and ps2! on those games the a.i. is soooooo smart! i still play ps2 madden with my friends because its sooo much better and alot more harder than 360 and ps3 madden! well thats it hopefully phil and the rest of the guys read this and understand im not being a hater i just want a football game thats worth spending $60! because i hate to say it but this is a make or break year for ea especially the madden series!

I had also said that, all players shouldnt be able to run feilds length at full speed you shall be able to see players get fatigue but also see the desperation for the touch down and do a tired dive at the end sometimes especially for instance if a defensive lineman scooped a fumble and was running back 60 yards or so, i want to see the defense putting their all into their blocks while he slowly runs tired but still determined and get that touchdown, that will bring lots of excitement to the game. also have a momentum factor, momentum is a big part of sports PERIOD.

fatigue needs to be addressed. fatigue needs to be a factor before the play starts. for example, randy moss is lined up wide right. my opponent audibles so moss flips to the left side of the formation. then, my opponent audibles again to flip moss back to the right side where he lined up in the 1st place. let's trace moss's pre-snap movement...

he ran from the right side to the left side and then back to the right again. that's approximately 50 yds before the play even started. randy moss's fatigue should be red or yellow before the play even starts.

Bottom line: fatigue should be factored in for pre-snap movements also

lineman are stepping with the wrong foot to set up their block, for a run to the lineman's right he needs to step with his right foot first to seal off that gap from the defender. same goes for a run to the left, the lineman needs to step with the left foot. out of everything you guys have shown this needs to be priority to be fixed for this year or next year, everything just looks awkward in those videos, especially the first.

in the offseason you should have the choice to choose what training camps you want to go to.

if a team sucks there should be less people in attendance, like if your the lions the stadium shouldn't be full.

have the maker of the uniform on the jersey if you want to. like have a nike sign on the chest of the player

after a team scores or what ever you should show the fans, make the audience look realer ,show them getting up moving around and leaving from a blowout game etc...

In Franchise Mode, the Thursday game that starts every NFL season, always has the previous seasons Super Bowl champion playing in that game. Please be sure to include that in the game. Too often I see the Cincinnati Bengals vs.Houston Texans in that game. Both teams were 2-14 the previous year. Like for instance, this year the Thursday game will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I mean, it was so ridiculous to see player walking off the field after a game, WITH THEIR HELMET STILL ON, AND COMPLETELY STRAPPED ON. AFTER SUPER BOWL CELEBRATIONS, PLAYERS STILL HAVE THEIR HELMETS ON. I see Madden creators are really angling to have Madden 10 look authentic. This has to change.

More off season news like: Jason Taylor skips mini camp to be on Dancing With The Stars.

Player plans to sit out trying camp if new contract is not received.

Also, if a player signs a 5 year deal for say 10 million, and his rating increases from say a 80 to a 90, he is going to want a new contract, and he should be threating to sit out if he doesnt get his new contract ( I.E. the Boldin- Cardinals situation)

Ian, speaking of co-op online play, how about revamping the way you level up in Madden. I think you shouldn't get alot of skill point just because you beat someone in Madden with the Pats. It's not a hard task to launch it to Moss all day, so why should he be rewarded the same amount of points as someone who sticks with his favorite team (let's say Broncos)?? EA, try to keep the disconnects to a minimum next year. Or at least give the win to the person that didn't quit. I just beat the #1 ranked player on the PS3 (decisively, might I add) and he quit. I obviously chose to count the game, but lo and behold the game didn't count for either of us. No loss for him, no win for me. What sux is he's the type to not give you a rematch once you discover his 4 plays on offense and avoid his nano-blitzing on defense. So now that bum won't play me no more. That's another thing, I can understand over-loading one side on defense, that's fine. But to come in clean everytime like that is ridicustupid. Anyway, If you're gonna hold co-op games online, you should make sure the server can handle it.

the fumble pile up thing where you press a button repeatively needs work,you shouldn't have a cutscene for it,just let it play through because it takes away from the game.i could see it happening every fumble and its ugly.

also when you show the player's stats at the beginning of a game,talk about it dont just force us to read it lol.example:your showing m.barber,say marion gets 3.3 yards per carry and he has to pick it up a little to take care of the chargers etc...

My biggest complaint about the blocking has been how the pancakes are tracked and I really hope that gets taken care of this season. It was a problem for years on the ps2 and they finally fixed it on that platform but it's still "broken" on the current gen systems. Anyone else get tired of their 94 overall lineman giving up 3 sacks, and only getting 11 pancakes on the year and regressing 3 points overall? My favorite was my center one year who didn't record a single pancake or sack and played the entire season and dropped several points. The system acted like he hadn't even played. meanwhile the computer's linemen were getting hundreds of pancakes a season and booking trips to the Pro Bowl. I really hope that is being addressed this year.

Not a big fan of all of the gimmicks either. I don't need and ambulance to come on the field for an injured player. I'm more interested in the actual gameplay and the control you actually have over you team. For example, if I want to put Urlacher in at FB, S, or even CB, I should be allowed. 09 version took some of this control away from us. Please bring it back. I'm glad that you are brining Defensive Assignments back. That feature was missed also last year.

But what is needed more than anything is a better ease of control for defensive players. And what I mean by that is this, it is so simple to change an offensive players assignment due to the fact that each player has an button icon that represents them. So I can send a WR on a streak route with just a few clicks of the buttons, without actually having to put the cursor on him. That feature should be adopted to the defensive side of the ball. Each defender should have a button icon to represent them, not including linemen. I shouldn't have to move the cursor on that player in order to make him do something. Without including the linemen, you have 7 players that can have an icon in a 4-3 defense and 8 players in a 3-4 defense. You have 8 available buttons on the controller to issue icons to them. Using the L3 or R3 buttons to pull up the menu. So, if I wanted to send my RCB in on a blitz, I shouldn't have to move the cursor on him in order to give him those instructions. I could pull up the menu, click on his button icon and click the option that I want him to perform. Blitz, press, short zone, deep zone, flats can all be options for him to perform with just the click of the button. That would make it a whole lot easier and faster to make defensive adjustments on the field. Currently, you have it where an offense can break the huddle and the controller can create an entirely different play with route adjustments, in just a few seconds. But on the defensive side, it is a lot more tedious in order to make a few adjustments. In a 4-3 defense, (circle button) can represent the RCB. (Square) could represent LCB. L1 = FS. R1 = SS. X = MLB. And R2/L2 = the outside LB's. With all of the controls being customizable. This can only help the game.

Now, I'm not a child, and I'm not going to post this 100 times. But this should idea should really be reviewed and thought over. I'm sure many really gamers will agree that this is a great idea. Probably the best on the board. LOL! Keep up the good work. Go Bears!!!

I know it's 2 months til the game comes out, but we as gamers/customers can't slack on helping EA make this game more NFL-sim style. So the blocking is great, but there's a couple of things that haven't been adressed yet but i'll hold 'em until later. Besides that, the new improvements are wonderlicious. If everything comes out right, then I'll be rank #1 on this madden (and i won't have to use the Pats or 'Boys to do it).

Nice job! I hope this improves outside and off tackle runs, because the only consistent runs in 09 were dives and isos especially out of pass formations. I applaud all the new changes. I love the adaptive AI. I want all the posers that only run screens, fly routes to Moss, scrambling quarterbacks(no quarterback scrambles every pass), and only know three plays run out of the game.

mcnabb had his left leg back in the pre-snap and he's right handed and the QB stances just look weird to me,fix it.

the dreads look dreadful lol,fix that.

i think 08 was the worst,i got my PS3 in 07 and i only liked madden 08 because that was my first experience with the game on a next gen system but it sucks now.

have a hustle rating to separate the troy polamalu's (how ever you spell his name) from regular players.

it should control who gang tackles,pushes the pile,blocks for teammates etc...

this is just an idea nothing thats major,for franchise mode let us do drug tests on the players and if the are positive lets suspend them,either the league or the team.

Madden 09 was far by the worst Madden of all times due to the inconsistent running game. There's plenty more but the topic is about run/block game. First off, the robotic running and juking, it seems like you were running and juking with Ray Lewis from anybody to an Offensive Lineman. Then not to mention the OL interaction which was terrible because the time when they did interact you were caught between the whole due to the robotic running. Why couldn't EA just take the concept of 05 and just add the new pro-tak and leave the juke moves alone & add other new animations. Turbo juke is the best juke move madden has ever had instead of all this sliding sh!t.

I play WAY too much Madden but personally, I just will not buy this game if double-team blocks aren't added in a meaningful way. I don't know if this is a particularly difficult thing to do (I imagine it could be) but at the end of the day, when pretty much every year a team with a 3-4 defense plays in the Super Bowl double-teams become a HUGELY important part of realistically recreating an NFL game.

If Vince Wilfork can be double teamed, he's an asset to a team and an essential part of a franchise player's 3-4. If he can't, he's just another defensive tackle running upfield (although a very, very large one).

I pretty much only post about the 3-4 on these threads, but I do it for good reason--at this point I believe it's the spot in terms of strategy where Madden has been most sorely lacking for the last 5 years. When I stomp the tar out of the Packers, I don't want it to be because the only way the computer can simulate line-play is essential a 6-1 where somehow all 275 of Olin Kreutz drives a ridiculously large NT five yards back.

the game does look good and last year saw a big improvement in gameplay. I'd still like to see more improvement in presentation (much like 2k had in it's series, since 2k was referenced in part 1 of the blog). 2k used to have a teleprompter syle during it's replays where they would circle a guy who made a key block or circle a defender that missed the tackle, etc. I also miss the old training camp in franchise mode. I don't like the drills dictating what attributes will be increased. The old training camp drills would let you accumulate points and use them for any attribute that you wanted. I miss that.

I'm wondering why MrBlunt bothers to play a thousand ranked online games every year if the games are so horrible... I won't disagree that they've been disapointing lately, but 09 was pretty good in my book (at least as good as some of the first couple PS2 editions).

But he is right about the playbooks not being consistent with themselves. However, in case you missed it, in one of EA's blogs a month or two ago, I believe they specifically said they have revamped the playbooks and have implemented an "Adaptive AI" system that will allow the user to link plays together in an attempt to lure the defense to commit to it. I would assume this means that much more effort was made making sure that there are more linkable plays in the books.

3rd and 2, FB dive for three yards an first down ... 3rd and 1, FB dive for 2 yards and a first down ... 3rd and 1, FB dive for 1 yard and barely a first down. BAM! 3rd down and 3, FB fake halfback toss for six!

We'll see if it works out.

very nice. the running game is so important and probably the greatest aspect of your game. sure anyone can drop back, run out the pocket, and manipulate the defense for a big play (a lot of you online players). it's to those who have the running abilities, and mixed play calling to show off TRUE skills and understanding of the game. good update. looking forward to more.

EA, how come your play books are so crappy every year? the plays don't accomodate each other. i will give you an example using only 3 plays:

your playbook - HB toss, FB dive, PA TE Corner(which fakes the HB dive)

the way a playbook should be - HB Counter, HB counter Pass, HB counter Screen

notice how my three plays work with each other? yours don't. let me give you another example:

your playbook - HB toss, HB slam, Slants

the way a playbook should be - HB Toss, HB toss bootleg, HB toss counter(where the QB fakes the toss to the HB and then hands it to the FB up the middle)

EA needs to hire someone with a coaching background or something.

KILLA KAVOR - i think that madden 2008 was the worst game ever by EA. you must not have played online very much because we couldn't use an under center offense last year due to the DE contain - pinch crash glitch. our QB would take a 1-step drop and then get sacked. it was a joke. here are my rankings:

2010: hopefully a 6.0

2009: 5.5 (the best game so far but barely above average)

2008: 4.0 (the worst game due to the inability to use an under center offense)

2007: 5.0 (freeze glitch, goalline HB offtackle glitch, great jump button glitch)

2006: 3.5 (disc kept freezing)

i know what i am talking about because i play 1,000 ranked online games/year

your game is still glitch defective. for example i just got done playing a ranked online game with San Diego and i was unable to use jamaal williams. i started him at the DT position but he never entered the game for some reason. a guy by the name of MrUnclowski was my starting DT. who is that? i checked my SD roster and he doesn't even exist. where did he come from? wierd stuff man...

There definately need to be an improvement when it comes to running the ball. All the ball carriers look the same and move like robots also the same with wide receivers. I would love to be able to tell that I'm running with Adrian Peterson, Westbrook, or Brandon Jacobs all who have distinct running styles. The same with wide receivers who rarely look like running backs when running catching or after the catch. Also the juke moves, foot plant, and cutting are unrealistic and the same animations from earlier maddens.

Oh, and can you make sure that you put the audible to a "Max Cover Punt" from a punting play back into the game. I know on the PS3 Madden 09, whenever I lined up in a base punt formation, and the CPU lined up in a punt block, there did not seem to be a command to audible into Max Cover. I pressed 'Square' and then every face button on the controller and none of them seemed to work. And it wasn't a 'Formation Sub' using the right stick because that just snapped the ball and started the kick meter. But the AI could audible, so maybe I just couldn't find the command.

that kinda has something to do with blocking, right?
