EA has to ANNOUNCE the rules BEFORE the season starts, stating WHO will be eligible to playoffs... so that the people who aren't eligible can know in advance... and just play for fun instead of putting a lot of time and effort, and just to get screwed by EA in the end.

A lot of teams with people under 19 (Quebec and the other states that aren't eligible) got affected. Some of those teams had the potential at winning the cup... EA needs to find a way that those people can participate... (ex. people under 19 getting parental permission....) just throwing that out there..

in the playoffs, anything happens.

Congratulations EA sports for running the uniquely amazing EASHL all year long... and not letting playoffs down (even if my team didnt make it), good job. It was a great year, cant wait for NHL10.

D2 is a long throw.

It's a tough call for us to limit the number of teams given there are so many good teams out there. The way the tournament is structured this year has us leaving out some excellent teams in D1.

Are playoff teams going to be picked based solely on points where teams made a month ago will get in or will # of games played a factor so teams that actually played from day 1 might have a chance to get in? My team played over 3000 games but we've got 0 chance of getting in based on points(D2 around 20 but was 4th in October). We've got a win-loss margin that's bigger(1000+) than # of games played by some of the top teams. I just thought some sort of continuity should be rewarded. Just throwing that out there.......

-throwing a hail mary
