( ive been playing the game since i got it delivered friday by amazon, like 48 hours non stop with only a couple of hours in between to sleep..)

.and right when i thought i was getting used to the new TPC, i got into the legacy mode and played the training game...W@#$ the F@#$!!! i think the training games are way too difficult, in previous fight nights when the fighter was a noob and he was training, the amount of score needed to get full benefit was low, at first, then as he improved that high score will get tougher to achieve....but they actually expect someone to reach championship scores in the beginning?..asinine..

THERE SHOULD BE A "RETRY" OPTION in legacy mode menu during training sessions..one little mistake and everything is ruined..

i think the TPC is just a ploy by ea to make it as crappy as possible for people to buy the DLC :P...(it takes a loooong time to learn them...but you'll get there..eventually)

oh and the reason it looks "arcadey" is because if you examine any fight it looks like two guys throwing random punches!!! (until someone gets a counter and lands a terrific-jab?!?)...ko by a jab..thats nice..(gotta keep your hands up or else your opponent is going to JAB YOU TO DEATH especially in G.O.A.T..)

oh and for those who want a "simulator" HA! i got an idea for a simulator...LACE UP THE GLOVES and get into a real gym!!!!!....there's your simulator!!!..you whimps..(the only word i could think of for replacing a curse word that begins with a "P")

i go to the gym 6 time a week to get my head pounded, this game is not a simulator...

this is a boxing GAME lets not forget that!

GHSU: i believe so..i mastered the tpc in fight night round 2,3!! but i had an xbox..decided to go with the ps3, the dualshock controller is different.. for example when throwing a hook to the head, make the circle motion upright without touching the outer edge, because if you touch the edge...u'll end up throwing a body shot...

TREY:a ref?..ppfff! lame.. UNLESS I CAN PUNCH HIM TOO!!!:D..sweet..

custom tracks is a must guys ....what generation game consoles are we on?!?..get it together...

i hope it doesnt take a fight night round 12! to get it just right...

deuces...

another thing i thought i'd throw out there is that the analog controls work a little better on the XBox because the sticks on those are a little smaller and the range of motion is smaller. on the Dualshock 3 the sticks feel too big and the arcs that you swing for hooks and uppercuts feel really big compared to that on an Xbox.

on a final note, i realized why i sucked so much was because my created player sucked. i played a couple fights in Fight Now and found it much easier to land and dodge. it really IS about finding a fighter tailored to your style, which is actually really cool.

anyway. just wanted to amend what i said before, since i didn't play it all that much before i posted.

I agree with you about the controls. People just need to get on that learning curve and stop wanting games to be so easy for them but I do have to admit, for a BRIEF moment when the demo came out, I wanted to try out button punches - Lol - but I'm an analog head since the inception of analog controls on the PS1 when NOBODY I knew wanted to use them, period, so when FN 2004 introduced analog punching, I was right there on it. And yea, I tried button punches, back then, but I was more compelled to stick with analog punching.

GHsu - Yea, u suck, lol, but it takes time. It is definitely a steep learning curve when your not used to the analog punching. U REALLY have to focus on exactly where u are pushing the joystick while in the thick of a match. Can be trying but after a while, it becomes second nature.

xxEastwick08 - FN4 arcadish compared to FN3??? That is the second comment I've read since the game was released that someone has said that. I think you're just mad that you can't get the controls down. THIS game is more realistic than FN3. U gotta be more strategic with your punches against the CPU, at least, losing stamina and getting blasted by a really good shot takes a larger toll on a fighter where as before, not as much. FN3 was way more robotic, as well. I even stopped playing FN3 after I got through career mode, switching weight classes and all. I had no reason to replay it. U can be mad that u are not good at analog punching but don't make that ridiculous statement about FN4 being "under" FN3. FN4 is not perfect but it is way better and more realistic than FN3.

GHsu & xxEastwick08 - appreciate the feedback. there is a learning curve though and it's gonna take a bit to get used to the new controls. It is a challenge, but I guarantee you that you'll get it with some practice. AI is pretty good, though with a little patience with those training exercises you'll get it. I've challenged a lot of gamers and they've stepped up and I've been impressed.

Gotta tell ya, though, Snoop loves the game ;)

- i really dislike the training games so far. to me, they're pretty difficult because the stick is rather hard to use accurately so things like the heavy bag take way too much effort because you need to make sure you're not even a little off.

- maybe i just suck, but i'm landing a really low percentage of punches (<60%) while getting creamed most of the times (usually >60% and even >70%). the computer is awfully good at blocking and clinching when they're stunned.

- i really want to see some DLC updates soon. i'd love to see what you guys have to offer. new fighters, new venues, and hopefully adding new control schemes would be great. face button punching is just far more accurate and also easier on my Dualshock 3.

- is it possible to import music to the game on the PS3? let's make it happen guys. MLB The Show 08 had this feature. let's do it. please.

- once again, maybe i suck, but it's unnecessarily hard to get up when you get knocked down.

that's all. i just had an epic fight with Roy Jones Jr. and Joe Calzaghe. and Calzaghe got his ass kicked. sweeeeeeeeet.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game. Now, for the next one, can we get a ref running round the ring? I don't actually care that there is not one in the ring while fighting because I just get so into the boxing while playing but it would be cool to have added in if u can for the future.
